Sample shipping not included. Not as great of a value.
I originally have this there stars because: it Says it's a complete kit. But it doesn't include shipping of the sample. That's not complete and means it's not as good of a value. Don't know about the results yet as my horses are not sure to be tested until October.I have changed it to 1 star because although the results came in a timely manner it only tells you if there is a presence of worms. If you want to know what the actual egg count is you have to pay for an additional type of test. NOT a great value since that's what I really need to know to know to decide what worming protocol I will be using.

The test showed positive, but when my vet did the test, it was NEGATIVE
I collected the sample, sent it in... it came back as positive, as a “significant” amount of strongyles. I panicked, tried to call them, ended up emailing them, to ask what does “significant” mean, and what med should I use to kill these terrible parasites. Because I did the standard test, they could only say 750-1500 eggs per gram. Ok, I get that, I didn’t pay the extra $$ as I didn’t think he would have worms. So I took a sample to my own vet, they sent it to their lab, and guess what? No eggs/worms showed up!What a rip off this test is! Don’t waste your money! They apparently can’t be trusted !

Don't think results are accurate
My new pony had a high egg fecal count. I wormed him and waited 6 weeks. The fecal egg count actually went up. I wanted to get a second opinion so I sent a fecal into Perfect Pet. The results were no worms and no eggs present. I was doubtful so I did another test with a third vet and it was higher than the first one. So I am sure that the perfect pet results were not accurate.

Chicken owners beware
i tried to use this for my chicken who i expected had worms. the results came back for a horse but said they were negative. i tried to contact the company if that meant they were still valid and never received a response. i proceeded under the assumption that she didn’t have worms and she died. i should have gone with my gut (or taken a sample to a real vet) instinct rather than this test. this lesson cost me dearly

Quick, easy, and responsive
I've used this twice now and appreciate the ease of testing and the quick results. The first time (earlier this year), the results were negative, so I was able to save money on not deworming needlessly, and also felt confident that she hadn't become immune to dewormers due to blindly rotating them. The second test (this week) came back positive and they informed me which dewormer I should use. I'm ordering another test now, along with the dewormer, and am hoping for quick resolution.

Very Happy with immediate turn around and easy to use!
It arrived on time (Amazon Prime). The product was EASY. I mailed it on a Friday using priority mail to the street address on the website (I think I paid $8). And I got the email on Tuesday! I will be reordering this product in the Spring when my horse is pastured with another horse.

Never again
Had to call several times to get results. Cheap collection product. You have to pay for postage (7 stamps). You have to pay extra if you want egg count. Long wait. I'll stick to my usual fecal kit from now on. This was a waste of time and money.
