Surprisingly good sound and power!
-----------This is an updated review.---------------I recently installed one of these stereos in my center console boat. This time I coupled it with a pair of 150w Pyle 6-1/2" speakers up front and a pair of 300w Kenwood 8" speakers in the back. All I can say is WOW!!! With these speakers, this stereo is amazing! Deep, bowel-shaking bass, clean midrange and crisp highs. I attribute much of the sound quality to the Kenwood speakers, but it's only because the head unit delivers the power. This setup rivals the 1000w stereo in my big boat as far as sound goes. I am truly amazed.------------end new review--------------------Installed this in a 21' deck boat I was planning to sell. Saw the 300W rating, and figured it was exaggerated, especially when I saw the unit. It looked thin and cheap, as the $39 price tag suggested. But I installed it anyway, tied in to (4) 150W Dual 6-1/2" coax speakers.Install was the standard DIN cage - fit in the existing hole easily. Took 10 mins. This WILL fit in a car, by the way. In fact, because it isn't too deep, it will probably fit where some others won't.When I turned on the radio and tuned in a station, I was surprised. Clear, crisp, and solid bass... Then I turned it up, and it got louder and louder. This thing really thumped! I was amazed, and cranked it up to see how loud it would go, and it got louder than I can handle. Made my wife come out of the house to see what was going on. Plenty of sound for when you are on the water with wind and engine noise. NICE!Turned on the bluetooth of my phone, linked them together, and BOOM, now I had my music playing.I have to say, I can't comment on it's longevity, but It worked great for the days I had it before the boat sold. New owner LOVED the stereo, had it playing for the whole test ride. I'm sure that helped sell the boat. Well worth the investment!

Looks good and was easy to mount
This radio has all the favorite features. It’s lightweight and very easy to mount. I’m hoping that it does a good job as a marine radio. My last boat radio lasted 20 years. The Bluetooth works as expected. The only slight disappointment I have is that the display is hard to read in direct sunlight. But overall, it’s a great buy.

It’s Installed and Operational
Came quickly. Easy installation. Wish wiring was a little bigger because making connections to different sizes of wire makes it more challenging. We had to crimped connections that needed redoing. FYI for anyone doing self installation. Seems both power wires need to be hooked up to operate. Took a little thinking 🤔 to figure that out. Sound and power were good enough for us at this price point. There is one thing that’s been annoying. Turning this unit on isn’t so straightforward. Im having to click the power button multiple times before the unit turns on. Should not be this way. So I reduce my stars to 4. Once on it works just fine.

Didn’t work
Had it installed by a professional, but it was after the 30 day return period, and it doesn’t work at all. Should have tried out sooner. Very disappointing.

Bluetooth worked once and can’t see display
The good, simple enough to use. Sound isn’t bad, not great but not bad. Looks good installed. The bad. You cannot see the display at all in sunlight. This is a big head scratcher since this is a Marine head unit. The sound is very heavy on the bass, and I like bass but I had to tune it to (-3) on bass and (+4) on treble. The Bluetooth paired right away after installation. But then would not pair again. Not with any device.I will eat the cost, trash this and buy something else. Would give 0 stars if I could.

Great value
Replaced a Pyle automotive head unit the previous owner has installed in my boat. That one didn’t make it after getting soaked during two back to back terrible storms that were no match for the covered slip. I really only use the Bluetooth, connected easily to my and my wife’s phones. This one dropped right in without rewiring and sounds better than the old one did before it met it’s demise.

First Cooler Speaker Build!
Great time building and researching the science behind the creation of my first Cooler Speaker! The price of the components from Pyle were awesome and I was not expecting the sound and punch of the speakers to be that good. I am very pleased with the sound and quality. You get a definite BANG for your buck! I hope it makes it through the next couple of river runs but if not I will build another one!!!! I don't need to listen to motivational speakers..... I just need to listen to SPEAKERS!!!
