Fast and effective pickle.
Loving the results. Make only what you need. Here are some typically available tips: NOTE: you can use less Sparex if you’re not in a hurry. Manufacture’s suggested formulation: Preparation • Mix 2 tablespoons of Sparex per 1 cup of water • Best used in a heated pot, typically around 120-145°F - do not exceed temperature • Can be used at room temperature, but cleaning takes longer • Typically requires 5-10 minutes of metal immersion, but can be left overnight without damage Safety Features • Non-flammable and non-explosive • Safer alternative to sulfuric acid • More effective than citric acid pickle Storage Tips • Can be stored in the original container or a covered pot • Avoid extreme temperatures • When disposing, neutralize with baking soda and clumping kitty litter. *** ***Check local regulations for disposal sites. Do not dump into septic systems or near ground water sources.

Best for my Use.
Throw some in my mini crock pot, add distilled water, Heat. Stuff lasts longer than any other pickle I've used. When liquid evaporated just add more distilled water. The Sparex has very minimal loss and is used over and over again. Great stuff.

Great pickle
This bag will probably last me my entire life. Came well packaged and properly sealed. No spillage! Pickled my rings quick and easily, no problems at all. It is a VERY strong acid, so be careful using it on jewelry. I left some jump rings in it overnight and it almost ate right through them. This wasn't the product's fault, but mine. So just be careful with your soak times. 6 years later: The bag will NOT last me my entire life. I still have a quite a bit left, but it's obvious that I should resupply soon. I make jewelry quite often, so.... it's not too surprising. Oh, and it's still great pickle. Firescale can go to Hell (ha ha)!

It does what it's supposed to
I was not entirely sure how much solution I would get out of this bag of granular product and it only makes a single batch of about a quart. But it is a long lasting product and that means that the quart goes a long way. It works as it is intended to for the pickling of metals after soldering and it can be replenished after evaporation and made to last a long time. It is a good value and it works as intended

It does the job
Welding gold is my hobby. I've tried, post welding, to use all kind of cleaning methods (like warm venigar, baking soda etc.) But it did not work for me. So, I've ordered that material, it came ahead of schedule and does a great cleaning (after submerging the gold there is a need to wipe it up from the residues)

This DOES NOT come in a 10 oz can!
The photo and description state "10 oz can", but it comes in a flimsy plastic bag that doesn't reseal. Instructions printed on the bag are smeared and difficult to read. That being said, I was able to measure out 1/4 of the stuff and mix with 1 cup of water in my mini crock pot, and it works great! I stored the opened bag by rolling it up, stuffing it into a styrofoam cup and then into a ziplock bag, ready for my next batch.

Needs more instructions for a newbie
Being a newbie to metalsmithing, I was not familiar with how to use the product. I also purchased a warming pot to hold the mixture. My problem was that I didn't know how long to keep my metal in the solution for the fire scale to be removed. What I eventually discovered is that the fire scale is usually removed within a couple of minutes. I had waited very long the first time because it didn't look as if it was being removed, but what I discovered is that I could remove and neutralize the piece, then wipe the remaining scale from it. The instructions are fine for an experienced user of the product, but I would have appreciated a little more detail on the package. Now that I understand the process better, I have no qualms with this excellent product.

Does exactly what I need it to
This silver pickle mix works exactly as advertised! I will note that you need to be extra careful to make this effective as possible. You have to mix and use it in a non steel container and not use steel tools to work with it. If you do this it will turn the mix into a coper plating solution and all of your silver will have a pinkish coating on it.

I still haven't used it intensively but as much as I have used it it is good as it is advertised.
