Chilly DogBlack Skull Sweater (Large)

I have several sweaters from this company for my 40 pound pit mix and these sweaters are great. They are handmade wool sweaters and because she has such short hair she gets really cold, these are perfect for her.

Our rat terrier is just over 16 pounds and 14" from base of neck to base of tail, but he is pretty stocky and very muscular, with a broad chest, so I ordered a size Medium--and it fits just him perfectly. He is always cold during the winter months, shivering even when he is in the house, and just miserable outside (but he doesn't want to stay cooped up inside all of the time) so I wanted to find something warm as well as durable enough to last through the season. I read lots of reviews for various sweaters and coats before I happened to find this one, and as soon as I saw it, I could just picture him in it...there were only a few reviews for this brand, but from the positive comments and the product description, I figured this was the best option. I'm very happy I purchased this--it is well-made, VERY heavy and warm, and my kids are happy that he doesn't look like a sissy wearing it! At first he wasn't too enthusiastic about it, but within a day or two he got used to it, and now happily wears it every night and whenever he goes outside. I like it so much I just ordered another one in a different pattern so he has something to wear when this one is being washed (I wash it by hand & line dry--takes quite a while to dry--it holds its shape and there is no shrinking). This sweater is great for short-haired dogs or those with a thin coat, but might be too much of a good thing for dogs with thick coats unless it is extremely cold.

I absolutely love Chilly Dog sweaters! I got my pup the monster one last year and thought she naturally needed another one for Christmas this year! She's 50 lbs, 21” long, 26" chest, and 16" neck so I got her an XL. It's a bit long, but shrunk nicely in the wash to fit her better.They are really soft and snuggly. It's snowing today and as soon as I put it on, she snuggled up for a snow day nap.

Thick, warm, adorable, I mean ..... come ON.Mocha is a 50-lb pit bull mix, so barrel-chested and wasp-waisted. This fits great, not too snug around the arms and chest, but I'm careful taking it off because the first one we ordered was split along a seam. It covers her all the way to the base of her tail, but stays completely out of the way while she does her business. She hates it, but she hates Maine winters more.

This is my second one of these and they are wonderful. The first was a gift. For the second, I went by the sizing (small) and it fits, but it's large enough for my dog to get his front feet out of it, a lot, so we just use this one for walks.Having said that, the wool is wonderful and didn't shrink even though I wanted it to. When my dog shivers, we put it on him and he settles right down.

Perfect sweater for my 8 lb yorkie. The small is a little big, but it’s wearable and too big is better than too small! This is made with a nice thick knit - the kind of warm sweater i would buy for myself. Good quality and absolutely adorable.

This is a really well made sweater however if you have a long legged thin bodied dog the sizing chart is not correct. It was too big for my 14 lb. Jack Russell....Because of the good quality materials I ended up keeping it and ordered the next size down knowing a deserving dog of the correct size to fit it.Leg slits versus sleeves make wearing it more comfortable for most dogs. Also dogs with long backs will appreciate the generous coverage over the hips. Turtleneck folds down or can be work up.I will get the replacement sweater today and hope for a better fit!

I have an ~80lbs mutt. He loves blankets. So, I figured he'd love this. I was right. The fit was perfect, and he was warm. On these points I was satisfied.Maybe a week in the sweater, he rolls around in the yard with it on. Dirty sweater. Okay, no problem. Washed it, dried it, put it back on him. Only now, instead of hugging his belly, the entire (for lack ofa better word) undercarriage is only holding on by one thread under his front armpit.I didn't think this thing would last forever, but it got a REALLY quick start on not lasting forever. Maybe I can get someone to sew it back up.Dog loves it - 5/5Fit - 5/5Craftsmanship - 3/5

Beautiful wool sweaters

My dog is from the Caribbean with his first winter here! He wears the sweater without a problem. It is thick and fits him well. Looks comfortable as he doesn't try to take it off. Only thing is that it's wool so will have to hand wash it. Love the skull design. Doubled as a Halloween costume! :)

I adore these sweaters. They are extremely well made and are not only cute but extremely warm. This is the third one I’ve ordered. I rated the other two sweaters I previously purchased a 5/5. This one lost a star solely because some of the stitching has a thicker plastic-like thread that is a little rough to the touch. I should mention my dog is exactly 45lbs so I wasn’t sure if I should order the large or extra large. I ordered the large and it was a little snug so I exchanged it for the XL and it fits much better. My dog has never worn “clothing” before and she doesn’t seem to mind wearing this at all!
