Instructions are wrong but still easy to assemble- Great Bike!
Got this for my now 10 year old daughter. She's tall and is at the tail end of a 20" bike so i saw this come up and decided to try it out and review it.First of all the bike is pretty straight forward when it comes to assembly. You will need your own tools. a basic allen wrench set, a small phillips and a medium adjustable wrench is plenty. As I said assembly was pretty easy but tuning and adjusting is a bit trickier.I think the smallest gear on this one may be a little bent. I was able to tune the rest of the gears (including the largest) to shift quietly and quickly using the instructions.Even though the instructions are for a different shifter, the high and low tension adjustments are still there and marked (although tough to read). The brakes are disk brakes and the instructions are for the old school caliper style brakes so that gets a little trickier, bust out youtube for that one. Only one of the brakes needed adjustment since it was rubbing a bit.The tires will need a few pumps to get them fully inflated but they came mostly ready and we're definitely inflated enough for her to test them out. This is a solid bike, it's light weight, the shocks work well enough for some light trail biking and I was able to have the whole thing put together in under an hour. Tuning took maybe another 30 minutes and the next step will be, pumping the tires, buying her some gear and getting her out on the trails.Plenty of room and bolts for upgrades and additions as well. Solid frame and decent headers make the base worth keeping.I'm pretty happy with it and she's super excited.

The perfect mountain bike for a young rider!!
Though this was clearly not meant for me, I am truly envious that this gorgeous bike is not my size. Even the color is perfect. (choose your size carefully) This one is about what I would expect the size of a full BMX bike to be. I recognize all the brands here. Shimano, Kenda, Mongoose. It has an eight-speed rear end powering a set of robust Kenda all-purpose tires. (my Word spell check even recognizes Kenda…) It has front and rear disc brakes for unparalleled stopping power and with a young light rider would be pretty awesome. The handles are a bit of a new one on me. They are more paddle shaped than tubular. I kind of like the way they feel and would likely be easy for a new rider to adjust to. The front shocks are great for smoothing out those bumps without the loss of power from a rear suspension. It was really easy to put together and all it took was a bit driver with a couple of hex bits, and a 15mm wrench for the pedals. It is basically a perfect kid’s bike.

Good for ten year old son
I was slightly skeptical about a bike we had to put together, but it ended up not being that bad. Better directions would have been helpful, but we figured it out and got it together in about an hour. We ordered a different seat that doesn't hurt my son's butt so much, but in general we are very pleased with it. We ride it around town. We are not hard-core riders so if you are going to ride it along the Appalachian trail, you should probably look up some reviews for that. But for low-key city riding and fun, it works perfectly. A+
