Very Useful!
My wife's new VW came with some like these & worked well. I wanted some too & ordered these after viewing many others. They came unassembled, to save space. I was worried when I had to assemble them that they might not be sturdy. ButThey were easy to put together, just be sure they are fully seated. You might have to pound them a bit with something, as they connect very tightly. Once assembled though, they are very sturdy and don't come apart. They stick like crazy to the felt-like carpet in the back of my car! I actually had trouble getting them off, after the first time I stuck them to the carpet! You need to pull them with a rotating movement instead of just trying to pull them straight up. Doing that, with how well they grab, will pull the carpet right off if you pull hard enough! Rotating them, will free them without running the carpeting. I have put them on and off many, many times and it doesn't seem to wear on the carpet like I thought it might. They work fantastic! Putting one of these in opposite corners of something will usually keep it secured easily. I have only once used all 4 to keep something heavy from sliding around. I don't know why I didn't get these before, they are the best!

Stable and sturdy
These work great. I use them to hold my subwoofer in place in my trunk, so that the box doesn't slide around. Only thing is that you need fabric to get the velcro to work, so I had to take the weatherproof rubber lining out of the trunk in my case.

Stopped items from sliding around cargo area
Worked like a charm, maybe a little too well. They really attach to the floor of the cargo area, hard to pull up and move, my spouse complains…. Solved the problem.

Perfect solution to organize my SUV
Really sticks to my car’s carpet. Holds heavy tire chains (case) in place. These are very useful and way to use. Very sturdy and well priced. Dealer’s price was double this.

Come in Handy Often - Best Cargo Organizer I have had
When I purchased a SUV back in 2013, the vehicle came with a set of organizers identical to these. I am not exaggerating when I say it might have been the best feature of the car. The velcro bottoms of these strorage blocks adhere tightly to the carpeted cargo area. You can't use these, unfortunately, if you have a rubber trunk liner as there is nowhere for the velcro to stick. By strategically placing these blocks around what you are transporting things just don't slide around. I have bought a few sets of these blocks for other cars I have owned and don't know why they don't come standard in all SUV's.

May not be good for all car types.
The description is inaccurate. This product might be stable if your trunk has carpet material since this storage product has a Velcro like side to it. But my car has rubber not carpet so that could be why this product didn’t work for me. I did a test run on this and it failed the test. For starters there are no instructions to put this together but once you figure it out it’s easy. However, rearranging the pieces can be a challenge at first try bc the pieces get stuck together pretty tight, you’d have to use something to pull them apart to reattach them. Being how strong they seemed to attach to each other I thought they’d hold everything in place so, I tried testing it in the trunk space of my SUV and all of the items that I placed in this storage did not stay put. the entire storage shifted and let out all of my belongings (so nothing stood in place including the storage unit). The odd thing is that there are 4 corners that you create by attaching 2 pieces together yet you cannot attach the entire thing together. Hard to explain but the way this was designed doesn’t make sense for functionality for me, so I returned it.

This bed is too hard, this one is too soft. I think they are just right.
In 2010 I bought a Kia Soul for my daughter and there was a set in it. They were awesome for holding things in place from grocery bags to a case of soda. Recently I came across these. I live on a cliff with a very steep driveway and I drive a new Yukon xl so I can assure you I know about things sliding around in back. I bought these and they work perfect. I can get a bag of groceries the other day. I backed down drive half way and things were right where I put them. To call these a bad product is not fair. They are not made for many of the uses I’ve seen people saying they don’t work for. They are meant to be used to keep things from rolling around, to be mounted on your carpet in back of suv, station wagon, hatchback, sedan or coupe. The hook you are all talking about is the hook as in hook and loop system more commonly called “Velcro”. After trying them for their intended use I got three of the houses around me as well as my own for a total of 10 cars and it worked in every one of them except for a 1998 Toyota my neighbors kid has. What that tells me is there are some vehicles that have different carpets than others. If they don’t work on your carpet it is good that you can return them for free.

Adequate with upgrading Velcro-like material - Pain in the tush!
Having a professional car service, there are items that we carry on board in our SUVs, one being a small ice chest, fire extinguisher, and step stool for our seniors. These sets were replacing elongated L-shaped thin plastic that securely held our ice chest in place at the bottom (with the handle secured onto two hooks attached to stainless posts of headrest) that over time has suffered fractures and eventually broke in half after years of usage. Hard-molded plastic appears to be durable but unless you ARE attaching a secondary piece to form an L ("corner'), this product would be useless in securing as the actual contact area with your carpet is just over an inch. Also, once you have joined second piece to form an L, the product is definitely secure BUT keep in mind, that once you have joined two pieces to form a "corner", the way they clip together is SOOOO secure that I doubt you would be able to separate to form another orientation. The supplied Velcro-like material used is inferior as compared to my original set that I was forced to replace after years. These blocks are only about 1.25" wide which limits the actual area secured to the cargo area floor, which limits their ability to provide adequate security. As I was unable to find identical replacements (which had 4" x 10" of Velcro), to make these work for our needs, I had to remove the Velcro-like material using a belt sander. I replaced the now-sanded area with 10 lb grade Velcro, using Gorilla glue in addition to the factory glue on the Velcro product. All is working well but more work than what I would have liked just to get it to work.
