USB 3.0 to HDMI Adapter

I just bought a new PC with a GeForce GPU. To my dismay I discovered that my BenQ monitor was incompatible with all GeForce type Gpu's. I decided to give this dongle a try. It did not work at first because I did not read the instructions which were you have to download the driver from the Benefei website. After doing that this dongle worked FLAWLESSLY! My monitor runs with no problems and no lagging at 1080P. It sure is nice when a product works as advertised.

My HDMI port no longer worked on my laptop. I thought I would have to get a new laptop because it would cost too much to get repaired. The computer repairman suggested I get an USB to HDMI adapter so I did and it worked great. I had to go online to download the driver but once I installed it the adamper worked like a champ.

These are terrible. I bought 2 to use at work with my 2 monitors. First it made me install a driver (which i've never had to do with HDMI-USB adapters). Once i downloaded the driver and restarted my computer i could not get them to work. I checked all the connections multiple times. Sometimes one screen would come on but it had black lines all over the screen like the connection was bad. I would disconnect that adapter and the other screen would come on but with terrible resolution. I never got both to work at the same time and when one did work, the monitor was not clear at all.

In all fairness, the listing does mention this. However, it lists the disclaimer under "Incredible Performance" not the place where I looked. I focused on the "Broad Compatibility" heading where it lists that it works with Windows, all the way back to Win 7. That's where the warning about 800 x 600 should be. USB3 came out in 2008. Win7 was not replaced by Win8 until 2012. There were many problems with USB3 under Win7. Apparently this was one of them. I also tried a different version of the driver downloaded from the Fresco Logic website. The install screens were different from the driver supplied (and also downloaded) from Benfei. The Fresco Logic driver install failed with hardware not found. Device might be OK with newer OS, but 3 stars for unclear labeling.

I bought this as my new laptop did not support video output from the usb c port so I could not use a usb c docking station to add a 2nd monitor. This worked and the driver flash was easy to find when I plugged it into the usb port. The only thing I would point out to anyone buying this that has a relatively new computer is that the output only supported 1680x1050 resolution. I almost thought it didn't work as the screen was black even though the system recognized a third monitor. Once I changed the resolution from 1920x1080 to the next one down of 1680x1050 the picture came on and looks great. I suppose it probably isn't going to work if you are looking for super high resolution gaming or graphic design, but perfect for what I want. Easy to use and the driver is right there in the device when you plug it in. Just click on the driver you want to install (I am running windows 10, so I can't vouch for the Mac driver) in file explorer and restart your computer and then plug in your monitor.

After about 10 mins of running it got kind of hot but its not that big of a deal. works great

This device comes with instructions along with a little CD with drivers on it. However - - - You do NOT need the CD! Simply plug in the device and then open Windows File Explorer. You'll see a small "drive". Double click on it, and the install files are there! NOTES: 1) Plug this device into a USB 3 socket only! (look for the "SS" next to the socket. If you do not do this, you will be stuck with 800x600 resolution which is terrible). The instructions will tell you this, but not until the end. 2) Open Windows File Explorer and click on the little drive to open the driver. 3) Let the driver install, and then restart your laptop/computer for the changes to take effect. All the above took me 5 minutes and now my Dell Inspiron (i5) laptop is driving 2 Dell 27 inch high def monitors. One screen is connected directly with HDMI. The second screen is connected using this device: USB 3 port on laptop to HDMI plug from monitor. Screen resolution is awesome.

My Dell XPS8950 computer with integrated Intel UHD graphics came with exactly ONE video output port, a DisplayPort. So, how to support a second monitor to extend my desktop? My premium Dell support wasted 20 minutes and was trying to tell me I needed a Docking station! This device was a solution. It did require downloading a driver installation program from the seller’s web site before it would work, despite both the Amazon product page and Wndows 11 saying the built in driver would work. But the product docs suggested the website address for the download. I’m pissed at Dell for selling a PC like this and not being able to suggest this solution and not offering their version of a solution as a Dell part (I looked hard). I have to admit part of this problem was I purchased monitors that didn’t support DisplayPort “daisy chaining”, which would have required only one cable to handle this.

Jeden jedyny który pracuje beż problemu. Po zainstalowaniu dołączonych sterowników działa 1080p 60hz. Przetestowane wcześniej od innych producentów powodowały klatkowanie albo zero obrazu. Benfei USB-HDMI numer jeden.

I tried another USB to HDMI but it was laggy and this product fixed my problem first, make sure your divide has USB 3.0 before you buy it, it's maybe overpriced but it's good

Ich habe mir den Adapter gekauft, weil mein Laptop nach irgendeinem Update über HDMI keinen Ton mehr am Sony Fernseher ausgegeben hat. Nach langer, erfolgloser Fehlersuche, habe ich mich entschieden diesen Adapter zu bestellen und - voila - funktioniert einwandfrei - sogar bei Anschluss über einen USB 3.0 Hub. Bin sehr zufrieden!

J'ai fait l'acquisition de cet adaptateur il y a 2 jours, et jusque là, il fait très bien son travail. J'ai eu un apriori négatif au départ pour 2 raisons : - La présence d'un CD de driver : je me suis dis qu'avec mon PC portable, cela allait devenir compliqué car il y a de moins en moins de lecteur CD/DVD sur les PC en générale et plus du tout sur les PC portables. - J'avais déjà acheté un adaptateur sur Amazon, d'une autre marque. Mais celui-ci était de très mauvaise qualité. Et ne marchais pas. Ceci dit, ces deux points se sont très vite fait désarmés. En effet, lors du branchement de l'adaptateur, pas besoin d'attendre, l'affichage des drivers s'est fait directement, j'ai pu les exécuter, et au redémarrage cela marchait. Ensuite, cet adaptateur MARCHE ! En effet, cet adaptateur fait son travail très bien (en tout cas au début). Et je suis plutôt surpris. Ensuite, en ces temps de canicules, je pensais que l'adaptateur (qui est utilisé tout le temps) aurait chauffé. Et c'est le cas, il chauffe, mais franchement, c'est pas non plus un chauffage ambulant. Lorsque j'éteins et rallume mon pc ou que je le met en veille et le ressors, je n'ai pas de bug non plus, mis à part une certaine lenteur mais je ne sais pas si c'est à cause de la clé. Je précise que lorsque j'utilise cet adaptateur, je l'utilise en parallèle avec le port HMDI pour un autre écran. Et cela marche très bien. (donc l'écran du pc portable en écran principale, un écran en HDMI, et un autre avec l'adaptateur) Point non "négligeable" : on ressent cependant une certaine "latence", elle est vraiment minime mais elle pourrait vous déranger si vous faites des jeux qui ont besoin que vous aillez un temps de réaction au plus bas, je précise que ce temps de réaction semble être seulement sur la souris, donc je ne sais pas encore si c'est la mienne qui fait cela ou si c'est tout le temps comme ça (je répète, c'est assez faible, c'est bien moins qu'une seconde de latence, mais c'est plus élevé que le temps de réaction sur l'écran du pc portable directement, ou un écran relié en HDMI sans adaptateur). Ceci dit, pour d'autres tâches, cela marche très bien. Ce commentaire est rédigé quelques jours après l'acquisition de cet adaptateur, il pourra changé si par exemple, l'adaptateur fatigue et devient de moins en moins utilisable dans le futur. En attendant, c'est un bon produit.

I wanted to add a 3rd screen to my Dell All-In-One desktop (Windows 11). I tried a different USB C to HDMI adapter (no software drivers) and it did NOT work. However, the other adapter worked fine on my LG laptop, so my Dell USB C port apparently does not support video. So, I ordered this adapter based on reviews and thinking that a software driver handling video over high speed USB A seemed plausible. It works PERFECTLY. Drivers come on a CD and are on the device itself, which also appears as a USB drive, so if you don’t have a CD drive just install from the device itself…or download from their website. I installed the driver before plugging in the adapter. I’m not sure about gaming, but everything I do (email, browser, spreadsheets, photo editing, YouTube, Netflix, etc) works 100%.
