Honestly, this was purchased to install in the shower so we can read Kindle books, listen to Audible, and watch videos. Making it possible to wash your hair while your phone is still early viewable. Others have complained about the adhesion but we haven’t had any issues. It’s also important to point our that the instructions specify waiting 24 hours for the double sided tape to properly adhere to the surface you’re sticking it to. The packaging does come with a cleaning wipe. If you choose not to use it, you’ll need to use some other process. The surface you intent to stick the mount to needs to be clean, free of dust and dirt, and I feel smooth surfaces are going to allow the mount to stick better. Our shower installation was on clean, smooth tile.So, prep is important. Along with cleaning, you may want to take some painters tape to identify a straight line you can match the mount up to as you press it in place. Since it’s square, being a bit off level can be annoying and will be for those wit any amount of OCD. 

As stated, after mounting it to the surface, wait 24 hours to ensure you don’t have any issues.Since installing, it’s been used every time the shower is on. Sorry if that’s TMI :) .One thing I do want to call out is that if you need to remove it, the instructions recommend that you use fishing line. I also recommend you heat it up with a blow dryer. Removing it will damage the adhesive meaning you’ll require you coming up with a new solution if you wish to use it elsewhere. We have reached out to Peak Design asking if the double sided adhesive can be purchased separately but have not heard from them. Something like the 3M Double Sided Tape Heavy Duty 2in x 2in (B09PBN44NS) would probably be needed. Though, it may need to be cut a bit to fit.Pros:- Well built- We love the nylon canvas fabric that resists stains and abrasion- A very clean, low-profile designCons:- They’re a bit on the pricy side- Should come with an extra piece of double sided tape- Not easily moved or relocated.Would I recommend this item to a friend? Heck yeah. We have one but already see where a few more could be used.UPDATE: I was able to find replacement "Wall Mount Adhesive Pads" by going to the Peak Design website and searching under "Mobile" -> "Shop Replacement Parts". It's $5 plus shipping for two.

Does the jobs perfectly ! If you have a use for it - get it! I use it on a tiles - really strong bond.

Clean lines, looks very well made

Thought it's gonna replace similar product from MOFT but it didn't. Design wise it looks great, it's bigger, so I thought it will work good too.Unfortunately after 3 days it detached from my wooden furniture with an iPhone 12 on it during charging. MOFT never did it and was used in the same way.After it detsch and my phone fell down with it, it was clear to me that 3M adhesive won't "protect" it from falling down, what a shame...

As the title says, these are great to hold your phone in front of you while at the mirror. However, the white gets pretty dirty. Especially around the magnetic ring.
