Excellent Filler for Pink Foam Model Scenery
I was skeptical about this product and didn't know what to expect. After using it for a week, I am thoroughly impressed, and will use this rather than construction filler whenever possible. What I really like about this filler is that it is easy to use and effective in very small amounts to help create lifelike textures; and to fill areas between the foam pieces, and seams between layers. It is extremely lightweight and very white in color. It has the consistency similar to a frothy cake frosting. The filler material is very easy to work with small tools and especially with my fingers. I like to shape and spread it with a small trowel, and will even work it very thinly into my Southwest rock carvings with my fingers to soften some of my deeper carvings and make the cuts look slightly more weathered. It also works nicely to fill larger gaps and create transitions between foam pieces. It can easily be smoothed to a very flat finish, or can be broken up in slivers to look like shale, or can even have a very rough rock-like finish. The technique and care used to apply it makes all the difference. My favorite part about this filler is that it dries very hard [and reasonably quickly] and does not shrink. It holds all the detail beautifully; and is hard enough to resist handling and cracking. What you lay down, is what you get. It's very satisfying like that. It makes it easy to work in small sections. After it hardens, it can be carved, sanded or painted. The foam filler material is water-based and cleans up quickly. I should probably use gloves when I work with it, but I don't. It dries on my fingers like white glue. Overall, I really love this stuff. It is my new favorite Woodland Scenics product! Five stars.

Love This Stuff
I use this for filling in seams between glued sections of foam and it works beautifully. It dries smooth, takes paint really well, and has minimal shrinkage during the drying process. The only places on our layout where seams show are the ones where I didn’t use the foam putty. One jar goes a long way and doesn’t dry out — it stays soft and workable all the way to the end of the tub as long as you keep the lid on tightly when not in use. It took me almost a year to go through my previous tub of foam putty, and the last glob was just as smooth as the first one.

Easy to use, dries reasonably quick
I needed a foam putty to fill in areas on the surfboard wall art I make. This saves me TONS of time and is so easy to use. Makes my product smooth and beautiful, ready for paint. Sands well with a higher grit paper. Sands perfectly. I love love this product and it will always be at my ready for finishing my art. Fantastic product.

Great stuff :)
So glad I found this stuff, it is great! I was surprised after online searching for putty products how little there actually was out there. I discovered this product in the "model train hobbyists" section of the net and gave it a shot. Works perfectly with foam core projects. It's basically not fully cured foam still in a partial paste-like state. It dries fully in a day so while you use it you have plenty of chances to form and sculpt it without it drying on you too fast. You can also add water if it starts to harden up on you. It files smooth and holds paint nicely just as it claims in the description. I use it to fill cracks and make smooth beveled corners out of right angled joints.

Easy to use
This works great. Birds had pecked some of my styrofoam trim away. This adhered perfectly and was easy to shape.

Too Expensive
This is the exact product as DAP Fast 'N Final. 32 oz of DAP for less cost than 16 oz of Foam Putty at Home Deot or Lowes. Don't waste your money on this. As soon as I opened the Foam Putty I realized that it is the same product I have been using for years to patch holes in drywall.

Outstanding EPO Foam repair compound
This stuff is awesome. I have used it to repair damage to a WWII Aircraft (RC Foam). It has filled in all the gouges and holes that occurred during shipping. Very light and creamy putty that dries to a foam texture. easily sanded and molded. The only downside is when you paint, it doesn't seem to cover well during airbrushing. I guess it absorbs the paint. My answer to that was to coat the repair with epo glue to seal it prior to painting. Then it gets covered nicely with the airbrush acrylic.
