Overall, it works, just taking time to show effect. This is the 3rd time I order it. I'm Asian. I had quite light skin tone at college. Since starting a family, especially with my first kid, I stopped paying attention to my skin, which experienced a lot of problems, typically adult acne even cysts which left brown spots and uneven tone. I tried other vitamin C products, which didn't give much help. The first trial of this one made a little progress, so I decided to give another try. One night, my daughter looked at my face in the mirror and said: "Mom, your face looks so white." Although my skin tone is still a bit yellow compared to my daughter's porcelain facial tone, it is actually improved a lot. I had a light brown colored patch in the forehead after repeated rounds of acne and cysts, now it's barely observable if not looked very close. It is fast absorbed, never gives me any breakout. So, I included this item as daily maintenance care.

Dunno if the l-aa is in high enough concentration/at the right pH to do its vit C thing, but whatever's in these tubes make my skin look nicer.

Didn't help my red scars at all, seem to have made them worse
