Shrink! Shrank! Shrunk!: Make Stylish Shrink Plastic Jewelry

The cover of this book sold me on the content before I even looked inside. Ingenious, quality projects that look like something an adult would make and wear. In most cases, you can't even tell that shrinkable plastic was used to make the items. I love that the introduction of the book talks about other recyclable plastics that can be used for shrinking and also goes over techniques so that you're not basically just going from manufacturer's directions to make the projects. A great collaboration of artists with an eye for mixing fun with quality.

I love this book and I love the samples shown in the book. It has some good information. After looking through the book, I started getting some ideas on what I wanted to do. I will continue to use the book to help get some ideas. This book is great to have in your craft collection.

Purchased the book while working on ideas for my daughters wedding paper crafts. The book served as a great inspiration but because of the number of items we needed to produce; it was not very practical. Instructions are very clear and easy to follow but I have to admit I used Shrinky Dinks when I was a child. The magic is still there but with a sophisticated twist!

We used to call it shrinky dinks but these designs have nothing in common with the crafts I did as a youngster, These designs are upbeat, fresh and fun. Skill levels from extremely easy to not hard but a little more attention to detail. Kathy gives us lots of little tips to make easier. Some very clever designs.

I really enjoyed the ideas in this book, and it was nice to have a variety of projects available in a compact book versus having to look different ideas up on the internet, especially for crafting on vacation, etc. The book is complete with a list of tools, what works for shrink art (even if you don't have poly shrink on hand) and tips on coloring.

Making jewelry with Shrinky-Dink - so much fun! I have seen this jewelry at craft fairs and really wanted to learn how it is done. This book is excellent at explaining the process and the different materials you can use to achieve different effects. Who knew Shrinky-Dink was so versatile? I didn't love a lot of the designs the author uses, but you can disregard the one's you don't like and make up your own designs.

Can't wait to make some of the things in this book with my daughters. There are so many cute ideas. I checked it out of the library before buying and looked through it really well and it seems like the author gives simple & easy to follow directions.

Ein wunderschön gestaltetes Buch mit jeder Menge Tipps für die Verwendung von Schrumpffolien. Ich benutze Schrumpffolie zum Bedrucken und drucke auf meinem Tintenstrahldrucker meine gescannten, gemalten oder gezeichneten Vorlagen oder nehme einfach Bilder aus dem Internet und drucke die Motive. Bin echt begeistert was man alles herstellen kann. Macht jede Menge Spaß!

Ho acquistato un libro usato ma è arrivato un libro praticamente nuovo! Bellissime foto, spiegazioni molto chiare anche per me che sono una principante! Libro consigliato. Spedizione veloce. Infatti è arrivato prima del previsto. Tutto ok.

Un livre qui montre que le plastique fou n'est pas que pour les enfants & qu'avec un peu de dextérité manuelle on peut obtenir des résultats vraiment jolis.Pour les franco-françaises, le fait qu'il soit en anglais ne nuit pas à la compréhension, pas d'inquiétude ;)Je le conseille.

I couldn't wait to get this book and I wasn't disappointed when it arrived. It covers many different kinds of shrink plastic and shows you how to make a diverse range of jewellery items. The language used is clear and concise, making the instructions very easy to follow and every project is very pretty, but at the same time you could still see the items being used every day. Really nice book and would recommend as a book for those who have yet to explore shrink plastic, or for those who'd like to use their plastic in different ways
