My bees have been quite aggressive last few months and every inspection I ve been doing I got stung multiple times with my old suit. I recently purchased an expensive beeproof suit here in Amazon and got stunk 7 times on my first inspection. Amazon kindly refunded for that suit and I decided to go for this one. My first inspection went really well, no sting. The suit is really well made and stitches are very strong. I bought XL and that looks bit baggy on me but believe me baggier is better not to get stung. The cotton feels much better than polyester and the veil is a lot stronger than usual ones. I d definitely recommend this suit.

I bought this because I had a bee problem that I was able to rectify before it came. It sat for a week on my desk unopened. My neighbor mentioned they’re having a severe infestation of ground bees. I volunteered to suit up and see what I could do. (Now I must say that I DID duct-tape the ankle-even though the fit was fine. I wasn’t taking any chances)I walked across the street looking like a spaceman with shovel in hand. I plunged that spade right into the (no joke) metropolis the bees had built. At least 15 entrance holes over about 100 SQ FT. At first nothing happened. Then, I dug up a giant piece of the underground hive. It was only a shovel “bite” of what had to be a large watermelon-sized-nest. This got a reaction from the bees-not to mention get my heart pounding. The sound of them hitting the suit all over and the hum of thousands of tiny wings, was enough to scare anybody. I kept digging until I turned up the entire nest. At this point the neighbors all around were driven into the house by the swarm, but not me! There I was-in a cloud of unimaginable numbers-smiling away and waving to the kids watching out the windows. NOT ONE STING. NADA!Oh you should know that you get hot as hell in that sucker! My clothes were soaked when I took it off. Awesome time though! Can’t wait to do it again!

I initially bought one of the cheaper suits on here, see my boy in pic. It was an xl but the crotch was super high and pockets sucked. I'm getting deeper into the world of bees with my mentor & wanted something better (and ability to gift old suit to my kiddo so he can get involved) & bought this suit in L. I am very happy that I did! Fits great (i'm 5'10" 180lbs). The zippers seem good, hood is removable, fabric & stitching legit. I'm also happy with the pocket placement so that my hive tool is accessible / doesn't fall out. I like it hands down over the cheapie suit for sure & it being on sale made me even happier. Good for me!
