8Bitdo N30 Wireless Controller Gamepad Classic Bluetooth Video Game Joystick for Android/PC/Mac OS/Switch

So for starters let's get this out of the way. Do NOT buy this controller UNLESS you are comfortable without Analog Sticks, and L2's and R2's. When I first got this remote, it was because I'm developing an NES styled game, so I wanted a wireless Bluetooth controller so that way I could play accordingly. I'm not worried about having this on Android and I didn't test for that. It works just as expected. All of the buttons feel intact and nothing feels mushy. However there are only TWO downsides that I would have counted towards the quality of the product but I these issues are just annoyances, not major problems. For example, you have to press START and X if you want to use it on Windows. Seems fair enough right? But it doesn't remember what you connected it with before you turn it on again. So which means to turn on and have it work for Windows you have to press START and X. Every. Single. Time. I've gotten used to it so that's not really a problem for me anymore. Also coming in hot, when you charge the controller, the LED will flash green and when it's done charging, it'll turn blue. But the problem is it's always blue when it's on. Luckily, it sleeps automatically when you don't use it after 15 minutes so that's good. I didn't test that part, but it's in the manual. If you are still on the fence about whether or not to get this controller. Let me tell you this. Don't get this controller for the nostalgia factor. Only get it if you are going to use it for game development or playing retro games. God Forbid to use this on the switch because it doesn't have Analog or L2/R2. Enjoy the rest of your day! Now I'm going to go buy more.

It works great and I love using it for Tetris. Many other comments mention bad buttons, but it is not jarring enough to loose a star for that. I would to have loved to see a usb-c or any other connector but micro-b, because that will significantly cut into the number of charges it can take.

Main problems:1) D-pad doesn't work correctly, only produces diagonals at all. It's not what the other reviews say (sometimes it makes diagonals)- it ONLY makes diagonals. Want to walk in a straight line, north, south, east or west? You cant.2) There is a 1 second lag on the select button.You had one job- make all 8 buttons on an NES work. 3 out of 8 buttons work correctly. F

Be sure that you are aware the controller works within the NES EMULATOR APP. Other apps that have NES games, didnt work with my controller.It took me a while to figure out that you must download the NES EMULATOR APP, then download NES ZIP FILES onto that app, THEN use the controller within the EMULATOR.Otherwise I couldn't connect the controller and play on my android. The controller works fine on other apps on my phone. After I connected it seems to work fine. 8/10 experience.D pad could use some upgrading.

Got this to play old Pokémon games/ fan made games and it did not disappoint at all. Works perfectly
