It is a must-to-have since most of the new laptops doesn't come with an ethernet terminal and very limited usb terminals. Works perfectly for me. With thid product Now i have 3 more usb 3.0 connectors and an ethernet for my laptop.

I wanted this for my MacBook Pro and it didn't work. After some research on their website I realized stopped the firmware support for this device on MacOS 10!!

I bought this TPM – link UE306 USB 3.02 Gigabit ethernet adaptor for my laptop, and the difference in speed was immediate. Set up was effortlessly, I just plugged it in and it worked right away with no drivers needed. Within seconds I was getting a solid wired connection up to 1000 Mbps, and it stayed stable the whole time. I like that it is ultra, compact and foldable, it doesn’t take up much space in my bag and it’s easy to store. The design feels sturdy, even though it’s lightweight. It’s compact. This adapter is FAST! I am upgrading my home network to 2.5G and I have some computers that don't have 2.5G network adapters, including a very nice Dell laptop. Although TP-Link doesn't say what network chipset they use, the specs say it is supported by windows 11 without having to download any drivers so when I got it I just plugged it in right away. As advertised, the computer recognized the adapter and connected at the full 2.5G speed! It's always nice to see a piece of tech work as advertised. I also found the device looks and feels very robust, high end. It has enough weight to it that it feels like it's solid construction and won't break if I put it into a laptop case and travel with it, and it looks nice enough that it's not out of place on an office desk. I do wish TP-Link would include the actual adapter chipset in the specifications, because not everyone looking for a network adapter is running windows so they'd need to know the chipset to verify compatibility. But that's a TP-Link marketing fail, not a problem with the adapter itself. It worked right away, and looks nice too. Recommended!

Bought this recently after trying another, cheaper brand that didn't work for me on either of the two PCs I needed it for. Well, you may have heard the old saying, 'buy cheap, buy twice'. I should've bought this one first. I used this on a machine running Windows 10 and a Mac. Both times, I just plugged it in, waited a minute or so for good measure and it works. Would buy another one if I needed it. The postage was also super-fast.
