Cell Biology

I have the book " molecular cell biology" and "molecular biology of the cell", and this one. Compared the other two, this one is more focusing on cellular biology with less focusing on the molecular biological process, and well organized for you to find interested organelles or processes. This one is also beginner friendly as I expected. If you want to start rather than ending with reading, you should really take this one as your first choice, and then, you can move to encyclopedia books like Lewis's molecular cell biology

Wonderfully written and illustrated text. I use it in my teaching. I ordered the digital version...thought it would be more versatile...I should have purchased the hard copy. I find it easier to flip the pages.

an excellent book ! trully focused on cell biology rather than attempting to cover the whole biology at the molecular level with an encyclopedyc approach.

Doesn't have page # which is a bummer. Otherwise a great buy.

A very complete textbook for the university level student

This is not a comment on the paper or pdf editions, just the kidle/e-textbook edition The e-textbook looks like crap. How a publisher could put anything on the market with a typography and layout like this is beyond my understanding.Amazon should be ashamed for selling books that look like this. Amazon's greed seems more important than their pride in publishing.

I am not a student but I bought this book to learn something about cellular biology. I waded through the first 7 chapters but had to keep my computer by my side so I could search for a better explanation of the subject being covered. In my opinion if you can understand the book then you already know the subject well enough that you don't need the book. Not sure where the good reviews are coming from-I read them before I bought the book. I have ordered another text and will try again. Could be this is the most difficult subject I have encountered but I doubt it.
