Great ingredients, waterproof, reef friendly, stays on. Kinda hard to get out of the tin but ok.

This is one of my favorite clean sunscreens. It goes on easily and doesn't leave your skin white and provides good protection from the sun. Highly recommend if you're looking for a reef safe sunscreen that isn't bad for the environment or your body. I much prefer this version over the tube one as that one is harder to blend in.

This Badger tin is the only sunscreen I’ve used for years. It’s a thick, white cream that needs to be rubbed in well. It comes in a non-plastic tin, has no fragrance, has just 4 safe ingredients, is travel-friendly, and is effective.

For a start I could pronounce every ingredient on the tin. It also contains a significant amount one of the most potent (and safe) sunbloc ingredients (Zinc Oxide). I've used this while hiking across the Southwest of the USA, the Mohave, Monument Valley, even a little time in Death Valley, and I didn't suffer from any burns whatsoever. I swear by it. If I had one plea, it would be to ask why we can only get the Factor 40 here and not the Factor 50 I found easy to obtain in the USA.

I got this today and couldn't believe it. Here it is, opened and spilling out over the rim of a tin which is almost impossible to close. I had to pester the company to get the ingredients and they turned out to be full of the worst allergens - especially beeswax, which is non-vegan. I'm vegan. There's nothing on the tin except zinc oxide as an ingredient, which I'm not really sure is non-nano in this case. The description is so confusing. I only realised that there were other ingredients because of customer reviews. For the record, the ingredients are: Purpose uncoated zinc oxide 22.5% as the active ingredient. The inactive ingredients are: sunflower seed oil, beeswax, sunflower vitamin E. I believe they are all organic, but the description I received back when I enquired is confusing. I don't know if it's just the vitamin E which is organic, or all the other ingredients. I am not even sure what purpose uncoated zinc oxide means in practice in terms of being non-nano. I also do not know what the percentage of ingredients are in this product, as 22.5% for the main active seems quite low. I wouldn't put such a vaguely described cocktail on my face, so it had to go back. I wouldn't be able to work with such a strange tin container which does not have a 'closed' mechanism. It is also quite expensive considering all the issues above. Needless to say, I had to return this, untried. Had such high hopes as Badger is a super company.
