How long is the stem on this burner from where the round burner connects to the stem to where the stem ends at the regulator connector?

I just measured mine to be sure. Mine measures 7 in (17.78 cm) from the center of the burner head to the end of the stem.

Does this need a thermocoupling? Where does it go?

I don't know what is thermocoupling is. I have install it in to bric oven I use the gas to preheat the oven and then add wood for flavour

what btu is this? can i connect this to a low pressure regulator? is it safe to do so? the regulator i have is about 80,000btu.

I did connect it to a low fixed-pressure regulator. The only problem was that I didn't get the heat output needed to boil 10 gallons of water, water got hot but did not boil. I don't know what my low pressure regulator was pre-set to, probably about 0.6 psi. I bought and connected the burner to an adjustable regulator (0-30 psi) and it worked much better. Didn't need to set it to the full 30 psi. 30psi of propane is a LOT of gas. Another burner of similar design has a 150,000 BTU capability. That means that if you can pump 150,000 BTUs of propane per hour, this burner will handle it. But rarely will you ever need it. I believe your regulator has the capability of passing enough gas to burn 80,000 BTUs of propane per hour. So, it should work.http://www.gashosesandregulators.com/propaneregulatorfacts.html

Can't answer it with any definite certainty. I can tell you this. It has a single bolt at the bottom that requires a nut to attach it to the frame of the cooker. If the King Cooker has a different mounting method, I would doubt that it would physically fit without some modifications to the King Kooker frame. My research says that the 24WC has a low pressure 54,000 BTU burner. This is a 150,000 BTU burner and requires a high pressure regulator. The regulator that comes with the 24WC is a low pressure regulator. So, in my opinion, I don't think it will fit.
