BT5 Bluetooth Speaker - Driftwood

Arrived on time, looks lovely. Great sound quality for speech and music. Copes well with bass heavy music like metal. Fills the room. Would recommend.

good product. nice packaging. features the scandanavian connection, but i doubt it’s made there. for $99 instead $200-$500 for a denon or a bose, i’m happy with it. fits well on the kitchen counter under the cabinetry. linking to amazon echo took a couple of false starts but did hook up in 5 minutes. connected to an alexa echo, the one with a little video screen, by going to settings on the echo and then bluetooth connect. took three or 4 tries for the echo to see the bt audio. the pairing instructions that came with the speaker were adequate but just barely. when it’s actually in pairing mode the pairing led (white) flashes fast, not slow. you can turn off the speaker when you’re not using it to play amazon music streamed through the echo. when you turn the speaker back on the bluetooth connection re-establishes. not a big sound, but a step up from the echo and definitely worth the price.

Quite powerfull and nice looking

Occasionally disconnects and has twice gone into standby mode even though I've switched it to always on. That said, these are only occasional issues and it pretty much stays connected 24 hours a day, which is the reason I bought it. I only keep one device paired so not sure how it performs with multiple devices. It's a shame you can't adjust the sound as it is a tad bassy for listening to speech. My quest for the perfect mains powered bluetooth speaker goes on but this will tide me over. It looks very nice and I'd say its decent value for money in the sale. I'd be disappointed if I'd paid full price though. UPDATE: Reduced to 3 stars. The sound quality just isn't that good. Also, the speaker has a habit of taking a couple of seconds to phase in. I mean that if you start playing something it will take a few seconds to raise the volume from nothing to the set level. This might have seemed like a nice transition but it just means that you miss the first few seconds of everything you play. Very irritating.

Für meine Küche wollte ich eine Bluetooth Box haben. Kein Kabelsalat, nur eins zur Steckdose hin, fertig. Und passable klingen soll's auch , na denn? 1. Klingt zehn mal besser als sein Preis. Als ehemaliger Verstärker- und Boxenbauer habe ich schon so einiges gehört. Horn, Highend, Magnetostat, Fast, groß wie klein, alles! Natürlich interessierte mich gleich vor dem Hören, was drin steckt. Ein Vierzöller, der bis knapp 4000hz seinen Dienst tut, 50hz unten, soso. Und das in einem 2,2L großem BR-Gehäuse. Die trauen sich was. Oben herum wird aller Wahrscheinlichkeit eine kleine 14er Charlotte herumwerkeln. Piezo wäre denkbar, würde die Box aber zu sehr in Richtung Party dominieren, denn die schwingen etwas nach. Die schmutzige Wahrheit kommt mit dem Messen: die 50 Hz sind schon da, um die 80 Hz gibt es eine leichte Überhöhung, die aber die wenigsten störend empfinden werden. Im Präsentsbereich zurückhaltend und ab 15khz abfallend, was aber durchaus messtechnisch erklärbar wäre. Highend klingt besser, phasenweise leicht stumpf, der Bass gibt sich überraschend präziese. aber für 110 EU der Hammer 2. Verarbeitung gut! An was erinnert mich die Kiste? Richtig, an Klipsch! So ganz kommt die kleine Bt5 nicht an die One Plus heran. Muss sie auch nicht. Der Spannstoff sitzt, die Decor-Platten in Treibholz-Optik üben sich etwas im Möbelix-Flair. Alles gut. 3. Jetzt wird's peinlich! Ich habe zwei Stunden herumgegrübelt, wie mein Telefon sich mit der Welt von Audio-Pur verbinden könnte. Mein Sohn schaffte es mit seinem Apfel-Handy der neueren Generation in 2 Minuten. Aber bei meinem Chinesen ? Funkstille! Und jetzt möchte ich keine dummen Diskussionen führen, welches Handy gut oder böse ist. Fakt ist, ich habe bisher jedes Bt-Gerät zum Singen bekommen. Das war die absolute Primäre, das ein Bt-Empfänger mich in die Knie gezwungen hat. Zumindest AUX funktionierte. Aber nein, das ist doch kein Zustand, ein Klinkenkabel anzuhängen! Oder wie das Foto zeigt... Die Kiste geht wieder zurück! Schaaade😔
