Figure it out yourself.
1. Instructions are printed on the back of the box but they are significantly lacking.2. The rubber stopper (keeps water and dirt out) for the charging micro usb port comes out too easily.3. The side USB for charging seems to charge significantly slower than the top USB.4. The so called useful carabiner is a pain to attach. You basically have to force it and it doesn't move freely. I immediately tossed it and tied some paracord in its place. This is much better.5. The top USB seems to charge at a decent speed but the side USB doesn't seem to charge much if your device is currently in use.6. I'm not going to test it on purpose but it looks fairly durable as long as you don't hit the solar panel directly.7. Keep grit and water out of the USB ports and it should be fine.

Great idea, not so great parts
Initially, I bought this so I could play PokeGo for longer than an hour and a half. The 8000 mah capacity was definitely ok to charge a single phone on the day out. I'd charge it in my car with solar (though I'm well aware it takes over 48 hours to fully charge on solar alone) and have only used it a handful of times a week. I've had it no longer than 2 months and it no longer holds the same capacity it had when I got it. When fully charged it barely charges my phone up 30%. On the plus side at least it's still a functional emergency flashlight...

nice waterproof solar charger
The solar Power Bank, Zikon High Capacity waterproof charger is very sturdy and will charge any of the following devices, your I-phone, your tablets, a camera and it is shockproof too. I placed it out in the beautiful sun in Florida and it didn't take long at all to be charged. I then had about a half a battery on my i phone and plugged it into the charger and it did charge it up to three quarters. I thought that was fantastic as I was also using the phone the whole time I charging it. I will carry it with me when I go camping or have my husband take it when he goes hunting. good to have as a back up source and what ...
This seems to work very well, I'm not using it just to power up my phone from zero, however when we were out and about hiking I used it to give my phone some juice and it did what I expected, good to have as a back up source and what I really wanted it for is Disney and I think it will work perfectly for that trip. I received this item at a discounted rate in exchange for my honest review.

2 months later it's very swollen
I've had this a couple of months now. It is starting to take the shape of a nerf football. It is very swollen, I am afraid to plug my phone into it any longer. With all of the phone batteries blowing up recently I am going to just throw this out. It's not worth it.
