7.62x54R Headspace Gauge Set GO and NO-GO

Great gauges, got a 'GO' GAUGE that is not obtainable from U.S. sources.

These gauges seem to work beautifully. Bought them to test a Bubba'd Mosin Nagant, and tested them on two other known-good rifles. They appear to be high quality and I have no doubts on their durability. As the other review notes, they do stink a bit out of their storage tubes, but nothing a quick wipe down with an alcohol wipe can't fix. I will remember ZPV products for my future needs!

I have no idea what oil they use on these things but it smells horrid and makes everything they touch smell just as bad, I had to wash my hands 4 times after touching them to get the smell off, so if you’re going to buy these then wear some gloves.Functionality wise though these things work as intended, my Chinese type 53 closed on the go, and didn’t close on the no go.Heads up if you’ve never used a headspace gauge like me, for my rifle I could not just insert them into the chamber and close the bolt, I had to take the bolt out, manually stick the gauge into the bolt held in by the extractor then re-insert the bolt.

Was wondering if my Mosin Nagant was O.K. . I replaced the bolt .

These are awesome and worth the cash! I have compared with other gauges and they are correct and reliable! These really help when you are dealing with surplus rifles and want to be sure of safe operating tolerances!👍 also no bad smelling cosmolene as old reviews stated. Mine had no smell problems.a win win ! Get them while you can.
