UPDATE, This broke after 2 months of almost daily use. The black plastic, color-bar that decorates the top of the barrette cracked down the middle. It still works and I still use if, if I am just around the house, because it is gentle on my hair, even if it appears cracked or broken to someone looking at my barrette. Original June 2024: There is a plastic-like covering over the metal connector of this barrette and my hair does not get caught and damaged in the hinge or mechanics of the barrette. This is a genius plan!! And the closure allows it to crimp down 2 more times if my hair is really, really thin. I can find something like this in the drug stores around my house but not always when I need to find one, that day, so getting this from Amazon was a timesaver at about the same costs as the drugstore.

These barrettes are very small, like under 2 inches. I thought these were like the 3 inch ones I see in stores. I have thin hair and not a lot of it. I could not put my hair back with one of these. I gave them to my sister who pulls just the top off her hair back.

I have long (mid-back length) hair that is fine in texture and thick in density. I like to twist it from a low ponytail into a french twist and then use these clips to clip it up with the ends sticking out. The no-slip grip helps to hold it in place all day, and since the metal is covered in the no-slip material, the barrettes don't break off your hair. For someone with thicker hair, these could hold your hair in a nice ponytail to give it a more spread out look, rather than just using a hair elastic. For me, they don't hold just a ponytail as well as my french twist thing, but are still good, especially over an elastic. Also, the colors are different than pictured, but I think that's a plus. Instead of one black and one tortoise, one is black and one is a dark dark green (think army, but so dark it's almost black). For reference, I am college aged. I think these are practical and easy to use. It seems stupid to leave a review on a 3 inch barrette, but these are my favorite go-to hair accessories besides just regular ponytail holders.

Received today and there were only 3 clips not 4. Unfortunately they were also very small. I didn’t want a replacement and in order to get a refund I’d have to bring it to a drop off (not worth the price of gas). Lesson learned.

I use them for my ultra fine hair and they stay put 99% of the time. Also, they tend to break after so many uses, if you use them super tightly. But, I keep buying them because they are the only thing that holds my hair.

Couldn’t find these in the store anymore so came here to buy. Easy to find.

I love this product! It’s great quality and works well for styling small amounts of hair. Perfect for thin hair.

I have thick long hair and these were not any use because my hair still slipped out… very disappointed

It's the original Scunci No-slip Grip clip. I have been using this clip for years. I use to get it from uk. But now it's available in India happy with the product.
