It works, takes great pictures and video.
Lots of choices on setups. Careful or you will get too many hours of pix and videos.

Great picture, good price
I am on a greenbelt and have a lot of wildlife that we don’t see much. I put this on the deck and the quality of the pictures are much better than I expected. It is comparable to another unit we had by a well known manufacturer of outdoor products that was twice the price. Good value here.

Failing in less than two months
Nice picture and easy to setup. However, in less than two months is is failing. I have changed it to setup mode after changing the batteries and it will not turn off or to the on setting. Disappointing for an otherwise nice device.

Easy to set up, Video and pictures clear, Must buy SD card & batteries
I had a neighbor set this up for me since he has experience with trail cameras. He said it was as easy to set up as most. We installed it in our woods that abuts his and the pictures it captures are similar in quality to the ones his cameras take.I can understand it coming without batteries, but it would have been reasonable to include an SD card with the product. We installed the full 12 batteries (vs. the minimum of 4) and after a little under 3 months, have not yet had to replace them.

very pleased with this trail cam...
This is a good deer cam. It's much larger than others, because it uses 12 AA batteries (not included) and needs room for all of them. With more batteries than normal, the standby life is said to be up to an entire year.I have not tested this yet.it takes up to 20 MP pictures and up to 4K videos.4K videos, however, have only 10 frames per second (fps), as opposed to 24 fps for 2.7K and 30 fps for 1080P, so while 4K would be a sharper image, perhaps you might want to choose one of the slightly lesser resolutions for a smoother video. You can choose to take pictures, videos or both.Choose how many pictures you want from 1 to 5 per motion detection. You can choose video recording time between 3 seconds and 5 minutes.Motion detection sensors can be set for low, middle or high sensitivity. The higher the sensitivity, the more photos and videos you will get, and it will use more battery power.Choose the sensitivity level based on the kind of activity you expect in the area the camera is aimed at and the kind of wildlife you wish to photograph. The PIR (Passive Infrared) sensors detect motion up to 85 feet away, which is longer than most.Trigger time is only 2/10 to 3/10 of a second which should capture a photo of any animal walking in front of the camera. However, an animal running full speed in front of the camera may be almost out of the frame by the time the camera takes the pictures. After detecting motion, you may choose to turn off the PIR sensors so you don't take any more pictures or videos for up to 60 minutes. You don't have to, of course. It can constantly be ready for motion detection if you would like.it can also do time lapse photography up to 24 hours.During time lapse mode, the motion detection sensors are turned off. This way, you could produce a speeded up video of flowers blooming, etc. This Zen Lyfe Trail Camera requires an SD card with adapter up to 64 GB (not included). The TF card by itself will not work without the adapter. There is a place to lock the camera door so no one else can reprogram it.There is a strap to tie the deercam to a tree and a wall bracket to mount it more permanently. There is no Wi-Fi on this camera. To view your photos and videos, remove the SD card and view them on your computer. If your camera is in a remote place, perhaps you could bring another SD card to swap out while bringing the SD card with images home to view.Overall, this camera takes excellent pictures and videos.I hope this review is helpful.Sabine :)

More Than Just A Trail Camera
Last year we had a very concerning phenomena occur on the US East Coast: song birds dying from an unknown cause; just being found dead or dying. For about half of 2021, residents were advised to empty all bird feeders and baths until further notice to possibly prevent the spread of whatever was causing it. Well, after testing and investigation, we were never given an explanation but were given the ok to again fill these vessels.I noticed that, while other native species were present, Robins and Grackles were absent from Summer of 2021 until just a few weeks ago. So, I ordered this Zenlyfe Trail Camera to observe and loosely track the birds that visit our yard, getting an idea of how many, what species and what time(s) of day/night they appear. My partner will set up for this process when he returns from a trip this weekend. But in the meantime, WOW! After unpacking it, I realized I can do so much more with this camera when this project is completed. It can be used for photo/video alone or in conjunction with other cameras. Since it's virtually weatherproof, I see us using it during warm weather activities with family and friends at the beach and parks and on the boat as well.I will mention a couple of cons. First, the instructions are sometimes clear and thorough and sometimes not, like how many and what type of batteries to install. Also, the USB port can only be accessed with the case open. While a DC connection is available, an adapter is not included in the package. Fortunately, I'm one of those people who keeps adapters and transformers "just in case" and I have one on which I can select the voltage to be used. So I'm in luck since this unit can utilize 5v-12v. It can also be connected to solar panels and portable power stations, both of which I also have.Setup is easy and so is viewing on the LCD screen (see photos). I like that the control buttons are placed inside an area that resembles a paw print :-) There are so many options for photos and videos and the time/date stamp even provides the current temperature in Fahrenheit and Celsius. GPS, time lapse and IR are just a few other available settings on this camera. There are also multiple mounting options: use the included mini-stand which can stand alone as pictured, or be mounted with the provided screws and the angle can be adjusted with the included Allen Wrench. One can also hand the camera with the included Olive-colored strap or mounted in two different positions on a camera tripod. Obviously I'm happy I found this Zenlyfe Trail Camera and at this price point, it's such a deal.
