I have been constipated my entire LIFE!! Women's hormones tend to stop us up! My husband can go 3x a day just drinking coffee! I have tried everything over the years, and this is the ONLY thing that works like a charm every time, not habit forming, all natural, and gentle, but totally effective! No cramping, just normal 'gotta go'! And usually more than once the next day, depending on how much of the cup I drink the night before. Here's a tip: If I make it too strong and drink it all, I might go three times the next day! If I drink half a cup, I may go once. It really works amazingly well and a 'blow out' depends on how much you drink the night before or how long you let it steep. It also depends on the individual's digestive system. If you only suffer occasional constipation, you may not need much. If it takes a bomb to set you off, drink more of the cup you make. You need to do a trial and error to see how it affects your system. This stuff is amazing! I hope they never discontinue this stuff or I'll be like Elaine on Seinfeld when they discontinued The Sponge and she was hoarding them! That will be ME!

I have been using this product for several years and just found out I could buy it by the case of 6. It is a great product and does what it says, gently, overnight if I choose or depending on how much I drink. If I'm in a "hurry", I'll drink many cups all day. The taste is a little earthy but not unpleasantly so. The box does not say if the ingredients are organic, but they are all natural, Chinese herbs and roots. I sometimes brew it with a ginger tea bag for added digestion help. I can also add a little lemon or milk. I use it hot or cold. I have also sent out gift cases to my friends who also like the product. While the price has gone up a little, it is still a little less expensive than buying 6 boxes locally, and more convenient. Bought this for my mom as an alternative to Milk of Magnesia and other liquid laxatives. She's a stroke victim so her physical activity has slowed down decreasing her metabolism. As directed and giving her one cup to drink before bedtime, she was able to have a bowel movement the next morning. The only complaint she had was minor stomach pain and loss of sleep since the tea was doing its thing overnight, but once she passed, everything was fine. This tea is even more effective if you drink two. Another method to avoid sleepless nights is to drink it first thing in the morning and you'll be sure to pass within 6-8 hours. Great product if you want to go regularly.

In an effort to clean up my health and hit the reset button, I searched for a good tea to help detox and this tea came up as the answer. It's gently effective and tastes good. Very enjoyable, really. I searched Amazon and found this wonderfully priced compared to Whole Foods, Mothers or Sprouts and I ordered a case. It was delivered on time and fresh. Very pleased with it.

Wow. I mean, I know I was asking for it by purchasing a herbal laxative. I figured it would work easily and gently on my system on days where I felt blocked up or just tense. Two nights ago, I decided to try a cup because that day I had eaten a lot of carbs and felt very heavy and lethargic. I drank half a cup and promptly fell asleep; after waking, I went to the restroom and did a number 2. It was a very normal process so I thought that the tea was nice. 24 hours later I had one of the most difficult times in the bathroom that I'd ever had in my life. This is tmi, but... let's say it wasn't all solid. At all. Well, here's to my disgusting testimonial. Make no mistake - this stuff WORKS. But if you're expecting something sweet and lovely because it's an herbal tea, you've got another thing coming. I don't think I'll ever touch another one of these tea bags, let along the 5 other boxes of it that I ordered. So buyer beware: it WORKS, but perhaps a little too well.

Maybe it's just my digestive system, but these take at least 18 hours to have any affect. And wasn't as much of an affect as I would've liked (if you know what I mean). Used for ten days straight and not much improvement. Tried varying steep times from ten to fifteen minutes to see if that would help, but it had no impact. So I'll continue to use them but only when I'm seriously backed up.

I ordered this tea because it really works. I have difficulty with bowel movements after drinking tea few hours later next visit the bathroom. No cramps just be close to a bathroom. Its all natural; supposedly. I drink at least once a week depending on my intake and how often I have a movement. Now I will get this tea automatically every few months so I dont run out and at a much better price.
