Unfortunately I have had to purchase a few sun shades for the front windshield of my car. I own a black Ford focus and I live in Florida. That combination of a black car and Florida is not the best when it comes to how hot your car will get when you first get into your car before getting the air conditioning on and working. Every other sunshade I have purchased has honestly just been terrible. They don't fit the windshield perfectly, they don't stay up, they take up out way too much room in the car when not and use, they are too thin to actually do anything, and many other reasons for them to have been unacceptable to me.Now on to this car shade. This car shade fits my car's windshield perfectly and is stiff enough to stay up covering the entire windshield for days. It's also easy to wrap around my rear view mirror which is very nice. I do have to lower my sun visors to ensure that the shade stays in place, but that's the case with any shade you'll ever buy. It is the perfect thickness to block out the Sun and while in the car with the shade up there is pretty much no visible light coming through. It is a reflective silver color on the outside and a black color on the inside. Both colors look excellent. To put it in simple terms, the function of this windshield shade is as good as it gets. I have even used it in my parents Nissan Rogue which is an SUV, and it was able to fit that windshield perfectly as well. For those that don't know my Ford Focus is a very small car and the Nissan Rogue being an SUV is much larger, so the fact that it worked in both windshields is very impressive.Now let's move on to the cool part. When not in use, this sunshade folds up to a circular shape that is about 8 inches from one end to the other and about 2 or so inches thick. It then fits in a bag very easily and looks organized and neat.If you have ever used one of those pop up tents that that you need to fold by twisting them then folding this will not be an issue at all. I have been able to do it every single time on my first attempt and it takes me less than 5 seconds to get it completely folded every time. Yes, I learned how to fold those pop up tents years ago, but it has been at least five years since I have used any of them before using this pop up windshields cover. If you are unable to figure out how to fold it on your own, it comes with very simple to read and follow directions and there are many videos on YouTube showing and describing how to fold these types of products. Do yourself a favor and don't let the folding be any part of your reason for not getting this sunshade.To sum it all up, this covers the window completely, stays up without ever falling, is very easy to install, very easy to take down from the window, folds in half so you can leave it in your backseat if you don't need to completely fold it up, and also folds up to become extremely small and can be placed in a small bag (Included) that looks extremely organized.Pros:- Covers windshield perfectly- Very thick for blocking out the Sun- Very sturdy for staying up against the windshield- Easy to place in the windshield- Easy to remove from windshield- Folds in half if you want to leave it in the backseat without fully folding it- Folds completely into a very small circle VERY easily (once you learn the technique)Cons:- Learning how to properly fold into the circle MAY be a challenge for some people (I honestly don't know if it will be, but it's a possibility that some may struggle I guess)- I often have to read just my rear view mirror after installing and I installing the shade in the windshield

I was skeptical at first but after I tried this sun shade in my car I am looking for these for the rest of my cars! You can actually, distinctly feel the difference when it's up and when it's not. The material is thick and heavy, so it really feels like it is of quality construction. Very easy to install, and it fits so well that if you do it right you can tuck it into the A pillars and the headliner so you don't need to fold down the mirrors. Almost no gap around the window so it insulates very well. Definitely a great value for the money.

Fits pretty perfectly to the windshield. It's easy to install and take down. I'd say it has a high quality material and the performance of the metal inner band is flawless. Even without the soft case (which it comes with) it maintains its folded shape perfectly while under my seat until I need it. The split to go around the rearview mirror is a nice addition, but if they added one more velcro strap to close the gap better it would be absolutely perfect. Definitely worth the money.

I really like how well these KUST custom shades fit individual models and thus effectively block out more sun and heat. I would give a 5 out of 5 for pleasing aesthetics, perfect fit, and effectiveness when properly aligned. But after a few weeks they feel more prone to suffer from user error than other, sturdier (but less effective) accordion shades.I bought two versions of the KUST custom fit shades, one for my partner's aging Focus and one for my own (different model) aging car. I am very happy that a company (KUST) is still producing custom-fit shades for older models. Both custom shades have been tailored to fit each model's windshield perfectly, and works well to deflect heat when properly aligned. The opening for the rearview mirror with a velcro fastener is a nice addition; it feels like it was included to allow for the mirror without sacrificing shading rather than to hold the shade in place. It does help hold the shade, but lowering the sun visors provides the most support.The two drawbacks that led me to a 4 instead of 5-star rating relate to time and space. My partner has little patience to align the shade snugly against the glass or to unfasten the velcro to fit it around the mirror, which reduces the shade's effectiveness. If you have a perfectly-fitting shade that you won't take the time to align it, I'm not sure it's worth the higher price relative to a cheap but poorly-fitting accordion shade.On the folding, it *is* easy to fold... when you're not in a cramped or packed front seat of a car. The size of the shade and stiffness of the edges when unfolded can make it a bit tough to maneuver from the window to a point where you can then do the initial half-fold prior to the twist-and-fold. Apart from the edges, the rest of the shade is fabric. After a few weeks, I can already see a spot in my shade where I snagged some of the fabric while pulling it from the windshield, accidentally dragging it against the door and front seats, while getting it into a position in the front seat where I could fold it. The fabric is still intact, but there is a visible mar/scrape. And when we're too hasty or lazy, we sometimes throw the shade into the backseat half-folded. My family may just be a bit lazy clumsy at folding relative to other reviewers--but if "hurried and clumsy" describes you, too, you might want a sturdier shade that can take more of a beating.

I am thrilled with this sun screen. I have a Ford Focus SEL and finding a sun screen that really fits my windshield has seemed to be impossible, until I found this one. The quality is very good. It's sturdy and is so easy to put up. I can sit in drivers seat and easily install it across windshield. It fits beautifully and does what it's made to do! The car is much cooler after sitting in the sun and seats and steering wheel aren't hot. Definitely recommend purchasing this shade!
