It's not designed for the A7iii but will fit onto it! You won't be able to use the anti twist screw that adds a little extra stability, but honestly you don't need it unless you're adding a bunch of extra accessories onto the cage. In that case, you might as well get the full cage anyway.If you're a minimalist video guy or switch back and forth between photo & video, this is a great product!

For those wondering if this will fit on the ZV-1F which is a different camera from the ZV-1, it does. Perfect snug fit. Gives the camera a much more desired grip than without the cage.Everything is held by one screw which you can see by the lens, we’ll see how that’ll hold months from now. So far the quality of the cage is good, it feels good, the camera is just slightly slanted from the cage because it’s only held by one screw which drives my OCD crazy. Other than that it’s great.

So they shipped a new one immediately without any charge, and made sure everything was good. So far (Its only been like 2 minutes but) Everything seems to be fine now. Super happy with their customer service's reaction to this! :)(Review as of 11-20-2023) Lets start with the good. This cage is great for my sony A7S3. It has tons of mounting points, Lots of options as to what standard of mounting points you can use, etc. Great Cage.BUTTTTTTTIt has one flaw that make it just kinda suckkkk.Its the tiny screw that attaches from the tiny metal peice that connects to your camera strap hole, to the cage itself. The included tool worked great. Only once before the screw became stripped out, The screw got loose in like 2 days, and now its not very sturdy anymore and wobbles quite a bit while using the top handle. It really just kinda sucks because of this one screw (that iv'e read is a problem for lots of people with this cage.)

This gives just enough protection while maintaining a sleek profile.

The media could not be loaded. First time trying a the half cage, and I'm glad I did! Fits snug and has a handy magnetic tool at the bottom. Recommended!

This is the Goldilocks rig for me. I tried the rhinoceros rig and that was simply too much. This half rig gives you protection, cold shoe, arca comparability, a ton of mounting points and magnetized tool. You don't need that bulk, just get this half cage.

Just wanted to mention this as when I purchased it no reviewers have mentioned compatibility with the A7R5.Didn't end up being great for my purposes, but that doesn't take away from the product.I wanted to use my flash with my mic on the cold shoe and there isn't quite enough room as built, I'll have to get an adapter.
