CORSAIR Dominator Platinum RGB 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 DRAM 5600 (Black)

Brought this from Amazon as not all distributors in India still have good stock of DDR5 RAM. Prices of DDR5 ram right now is on expensive side and only recommended for people who can afford. Initial adoption is possible with only Intel Alder lake CPUs and supports unto 4800MT/s. Over time AMD new Zen series will also support this.Pros/Cons: Future proof but comes with downside of cost and minor bugs as the system is still evolving. Not much noticeable FPS gain over DDR4 (~20% more on AAA title games). For rendering or editing the load time are close to 40% better if using high end CPUs/GPUs.Will update long term review after some months.

RAM is expensive at the time I bought this kit (£404), which is a joke for RAM! Regarding the speed of the RAM, I did not really notice any tangible difference when compared to my old DDR4 3600 RAM kit, this may be due to the higher latency.The RAM has been very stable and XMP on my MOBO (Aorus Z690 Master) gave me a chip manufacturer specific profile (Samsung 5600) to use, which worked flawlessly.I bought this kit as I had no choice, not realising that my board only supported DDR5 (I thought it was backward compatible stupidly), it was the first kit to come into stock, I am pleased to be future proofed (hopefully) but if budget was an issue, getting a DDR4 compatible board would be a much better way to go as these DDR5 sticks did not offer me much if anything by way of performance increase over my old DDR4 and cost nearly twice as much.

Abbastanza veloci e di grande impatto visivo queste memorie sono davvero impressionanti ….a mio avviso tra le più belle in circolazione e se siete amanti dei led colorati gli effetti che potete ottenere sono davvero inarrivabili per altre ram a led. Altro discorso il prezzo …scandaloso a mio avviso, che dire di altro?

Premesso che le DDR5 sono agli albori e col tempo diventeranno sempre più veloci, devo dire che queste Dominator mi hanno davvero convinto. Per fortuna son riuscito a prenderle in offerta perché per ora il prezzo è davvero alto.
