The right choice!
This is a product I've used for many years and the quality continues.. it does an excellent job of preserving my pastel drawings from smears and damage to the surface. If I could change anything it would be the lingering odor that lasts when you spray it on for several hours but it's a small price to pay. Thanks Krylon for a great product and the supplier who shipped it in good condition!

Perfect for Pencil Drawings
This summer I took a course in Nature Journaling and Sketching. I find that my pencil drawings were getting all smudgey over time and "bleeding" onto the facing pages. Kylon Fixatif solved the problem! It is perfect for maintaining pencil drawings.

Does the job
I have used this [product in the past for charcoal drawings of my own and it worked great. Now, many years later, I used this to spray on some chalk/pastel drawings done by my sons when they were young and it seems to do the trick! (I am not going to try smearing the colors to see just how it works, however.)

Great for soft pastel artwork
Bought this for the BF to use for soft pastel and watercolor pencil drawings. He loves the ability to protect portions of his work with this spray while he works on different areas. Spray is a fine mist that creates a consistent and controlled application. Is an essential artist tool.

This is expensive and hard to find now
I don't remember this fixative costing so much back when I was in art school, but it is the best one I've ever used. Its well worth it's weight in gold for pastel/charcoal artists like myself.
