Found a second use for my jackhammer.
Hand tamping is a pain. You work too hard, and don't really get full compaction. This solves that. If you can handle the weight (this with your demolition hammer is not a lightweight device) this can fit into the small areas where your plate compactor cannot. You can really smash down some soil or gravel.Once you install the shaft into the head, it's there for life after you use it. So make sure to orient the head the way you want it to be in relation to your jackhammer's body - you can't change it later.

Misrepresentation
This is not a standard one and 1/8 inch jackhammer bit. Further, it is nearly 1-1/4” than and the locking groove is on a hex face as opposed to the hex corner. This means it will not fit a Bosch, Ingersoll Rand or Makita, standard one and one eighth inch jackhammer. Don’t waste your money here.

Won’t fit most 1 1/8” hex shank buyer beware
This works good but it won’t fit any regular jack hammer with 1 1/8” hex shank. I couldn’t find any store bought hammer to fit it either 🤷‍♀️ So I had to but the xtremepower one they are pushing on here.It does the trick though. Turned concrete into gravel painstakingly... it really rattles you!
