The perfect spatula. Hand wash for long life.
This is our second of this exact type of OXO “fish flipper” spatula. We still have the prior one, but the handle material has degraded over time after frequent runs through the dishwasher. We sometimes use a high-heat “sanitary mode,” so perhaps others have not had this issue, but the handle on ours has become “tacky” over time — a sign the plastic is degrading. But it’s become such an indispensable tool in our kitchen that we had to get another one, which will be hand-washed going forward. These aren’t just for fish, although I used it on the sockeye salmon last night and it was of course perfect. But this kind of thin, flexible spatula works well with anything you’re cooking in a pan that needs flipping, turning, or manipulating, whether you’re browning ground beef for chili or turning steaks. I don’t really see the point of the short, fat style for most of what we cook — this fish flipper style slides under food easily and is wide enough and “springy” enough to lift a T-bone or an omelet.Five stars for the perfect spatula. Get one and you’ll never want to be without

Multiple uses
I have been using this many, many months. I love it so much I encourage my brother to get one. I ended up giving him one alongside a gift card for Christmas. My mom said when he opened his gift he freaked because he finally got the fish spatula. Guess, you definitely know you’re old when you get all excited about a kitchen utensil. But this is truly one to get excited about. It has a great grip like all of OXO products. It’s steel so no worries about rusting. The scoop is long to gather more food up with. I use this for multiple things. It’s great for scooping up fries, tator tots, cookies off of a baking sheet. I use it to scoop up any meat I cook to plate it. I have even used it to help drain off veggies from a pot. This is a tool I use daily. Always finding new ways to use it. Soooo, worth the price.

Awesome kitchen tool...
One of the best kitchen tools ever. This tool is thin and wide, it flipped my hash browns with ease. With my old flipper, the hash browns would end up a mess. Flips burgers while draining the grease. I'm so sad I didn't purchase it years ago. I love it and can't wait to use it again.

Great turner for uncoated cookware and cast iron, not for use on non-stick coatings!
I got this for use in my 8" and 10" cast iron frying pans - the "little fish turner" is the perfect size for these pans! It's flexible enough to slide under whatever I'm cooking without breaking it, yet stiff enough to scrape up any food that may be sticking to the pan. Great turner!

Order the “Little Fish Turner”, not the “Fish Turner”!
CHECK THE SIZE SPECS BEFORE PURCHASING. The “Little Fish Turner” is a standard size fish spatula and great for many use cases beyond fish. The “Fish Turner” will work for large pieces of fish and grilling, but is too large for many of the use cases that make the “Little” such a perfect versatile workhorse, and it’s a bit less flexible. The “Little” is a great fish spatula; I’ve used it nearly daily for years. It broke after many years of service, so I reordered the “Fish Tuner” without checking that there were multiple size options. I’ve had to reorder to get the right size.

Great for delicate foods.
Great food turner/spatula. The slight bend and angled edge makes it ideal for handling delicate foods and keeping them intact. I have several “regular” turners/spatulas but they don’t do what this one does.

Great little spatula for over easy eggs!
If you need a "thin" spatula to get under your eggs & flip your meat, b/c you need to show them who's the boss of that kitchen... Well I suggest buying this for yourself. In all seriousness, I had a "plastic" or whatever material it was made of, spatula, designed just like this..BUT I got tired of well the plastic just.. hindering me while trying to get up & under eggs properly. I had NO IDEA there was a "spatula" called a "fish spatula".. that was designed to flip stuff..Anyways, just buy this if you were having the same headaches I was. It works great. That's the "TLDR".It's not often I give kitchen gadgets "5 stars" but after using this one for months.. the durability is there. Good heat resistance obviously, since its metal. The value for the money is there. It can scrap better than a plastic spatula can. Light weight.
