Not good value for money

Have been using glycolic creams, peels and toners for years now ever since first having some products recommended to me after having a series of professional glycolic acid peels to improve my skin tone and texture after years of problematic skin. I now complete my own glycolic peels at home and use a combination of glycolic and mandelic acid products in-between - they are absolute gems for giving you glowing skin if applied and used correctly and consistently over time as part of a considered skincare regime.Over the years I've been through the ups and downs of paying way over the odds in the early days for weak solutions, cheap brands who use non pharmaceutical grade ingredients etc and have learned a lot about glycolic products in the process.This toner is without question a very well priced toner and a great introduction one if you've not used one before as it's slightly more gentle than the standard 5% ones most common. You can use this to build up a tolerance for your first glycolic peel by using it every day for a couple of weeks before trying a weaker peel to start with (5-10% peel) and then build up from there. It's also weak enough to use everyday on an ongoing basis whilst still strong enough for deep exfoliation over time if used consistently.I don't use any form of cotton pad or wool to apply this as you lose so much of the product through it absorbing into the pad/wool and you want this product to stay on your skin. Instead, after cleansing my face I apply this from a small dish with a fan brush and ensure a nice layer covers my face completely then pat it in all over with my fingers before applying another layer and then leaving it to dry for a good 30 minutes or so before applying my moisturizer (a weak glycolic or mandelic at this time of year, a much stronger one in the winter).Remember when using any glycolic products on your skin you need to be extra cautious with your skin exposure to the sun - be sure to wear strong SPF as even though this is only 5% solution your skin will become extra sensitive to the effects of the sun. For any stronger solutions and deeper peels at higher percentages it's better to wait until the winter months.A good price for a great toner!

Dose the job but take time and patience

Not happy with this purchase at all. It smells like a damp towel that’s been left for a week. Other glycolic acids I’ve bought have never had that smell. I don’t trust it.

Great product at, a great price, work magical

I have oily combination skin - I recently started incorporating Glycolic acid into my daily skincare regime after reading how beneficial it can be, so therefore I am using another well known brand.I was keen to try the Q+A toner as; I've heard very good things about the brand itself and have used other products from the range which are fantastic. This Glycolic acid toner is an excellent addition to its product line up and I am really pleased I had the opportunity to test it.I use this morning and evening after cleansing, on dry skin - I apply a small amount on a cotton pad and wipe it over my face.After two weeks use, I find my skin looks a lot healthier and fresher - my skin feels less oily and the texture of my skin has drastically improved. My skin feels soft and just feels great - it leaves my skin feeling matte but not stripped.I highly recommend this product; I works better than any other Glycolic toner I've used previously and doesn't dry out my skin - I have sensitive skin also and find this doesn't irritate it whatsoever. It doesn't leave my skin feeling tacky or sticky.Highly recommended, excellent value for money and visible results - it really works!
