GrowlerWerks Nitro Chargers (package of 5), 16g, Silver

They don’t work for royal brew! So basically this review is to let you know not to trust the items frequently purchased together!! The real kick in the rump is that I CAN NOT! Repeat! CAN NOT return this even though it’s listed as a prime item!!! Shame on you

Doing the math it’s a bit more expensive than using a 1 pint whipped cream dispenser but not by much, but both are miles cheaper than buying nitro coffee retail. I’ve gone through about 50 of these cartridges and no problems so far. I can’t find this large 16g size cartridge anywhere else for a better deal yet, but GrolwerWork’s website talks about a converter you can get to accommodate the 8g size for foreign use, for free, but it would take multiple charges (I use 8g per pint in whipped cream dispenser so I would think 2 - 8g chargers per keg (about 66oz when filled to brim). Plus untwisting and recharging with multiple n2os in the growler would let out any undiluted n2o, which takes a few days to substantially dilute fyi and the n2o lets out more air as the growler gets less full unless you turn it off, so it thus at least some waste of money.

Although a little pricey I do like my Nitro brewed coffee. Having the freshest ingredients make for the best brew. Four Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!!

The title is extremely misleading. This was a recommended add on for my uKeg and the title said Nitro Charger. It’s NOT nitro charger but N2O which is just compressed air. The whole point of Nitro coffee is to PREVENT coffee from oxidizing. So why pump oxygen into your coffee? It’a ridiculous to pay $17 for some compressed air.UPDTAE: The manufacture explained that pressure and cold air slows down the oxidation process. That still doesn’t justify paying $199 for their proprietary uKeg when I can get a whip cream dispenser for $50. The whip cream chargers are the same exact N2O. Calling this Nitro coffee is MISLEADING regardless of any justification.

I purchased 3 packs of these. Of the two I've already opened, I received 2 duds. I bought these for my GrowlerWerks nitro cold brew keg which works great but the cartridges don't last more than 2 days or so. These are the larger cartridges too and thats what the company recommends you using. Unfortunately there are few other companies that make the larger cartridge so you are stuck with buying this brand and it cheap. In end, I guess it's still cheaper than buying a NCB from Starbucks everyday.
