Arrived promptly. My kitchen was having plumbing done behind the cooker space so I had to disconnect & move my cooker. (Then the plumber rang in sick delaying work another week.) I bought this as a stand in for dried soup/savoury rice and other saucepan cooking. At the start I was sceptical, but I was very pleased with it. It did the job quickly. Only grumble is it no sooner reaches its temperature and the light clicks off, then it immediately clicks back on, and does this constantly during cooking, (I was worried the bulb would blow!) but I didn't notice that the temperature dropped with it, and my food cooked very quickly. I sat it on top of my new cooker top until my cooker was rewired in. My friend is having a kitchen refit and I'm now selling this on as my works are finished and my new main cooker rewired in. But it was peace of mind having it whilst I was cookerless with just a microwave and mini oven. There are ones very similar out there at half the price. I did think this a bit expensive.

I bought this for my 83yr old Mum. She was struggling to use the cooker but she is able to place this in her worktop and can use it easily. Very handy.

Bought this to use whilst my gas cooker was out of action and it has worked well. Only problem is that it does cut out at the top temperature so boiling large quantities of water (as a result of a failed immersion heater) was difficult but that was not what it was designed to do anyway. Have seen other reviews complaining about the cut out at the various temperatures but this is what it is meant to do according to the instructions so not a problem. I have used it every day for about 4 months now and the only thing is that I have to turn it off at the socket as one of the plates stays warm otherwise. All in all very pleased with this.

Temperature control and easy to use, this is awesome

Not good for boiling , because every time it reaches boiling point , the thermostat kicks out , and it drops to simmer!!Cooking potatoes takes hours and hours , only good for simmering unfortunately, absolutely not worth the money in my eyes .
