I got two of these for my two cats because one of them likes tugging his water bowl and pulling it around the kitchen. This causes random water puddles in various areas of the kitchen and is a hassle to find and clean up after every meal. The bowls we use for our cats are also "non-slip" bowls, so I was hoping doubling down on the non-slip with this mat would do the trick, but I guess my cat is very determined to play with his water bowl, as we now end up finding the bowl flipped upside down on this mat.Some pros about this mat: I'm not giving it a one-star rating because the mat itself has not slipped around my kitchen, it's stayed in its place and holds the food bowls pretty well. It also has a rising edge that holds in any spilled liquid rather than a smooth flat one that would run into the kitchen, which makes spillage cleanup easier and more contained. Its also easy to clean being a rubbery floppy mat. All-in-all, it does its best at what it's supposed to do, but it's just not the right fit for my cat. I can see this being useful for someone with tiny little kittens, but don't expect this to be the end-all bowl playing fix for strong, determined adult cats, as they can still push bowls around slightly or knock it upside down.One last con to note though is the smell right out of the packaging- it has that fresh from the factory smell upon opening and the fumes are way stronger than any other product I've ever received with the smell. I had to air out the mats for a few days outside before I was comfortable using it near my cats. Smell is now non-existent. If you're not into those strong smells, you won't be able to use these mats right away after receiving them.

Thus is such a cool little mat. We got one for our cat food and one for our dog food. Our dog would eat all of her food but as she does it spills off the plate and all over the tile floor. She's lazy so she just leaves it there. This mat contains her mess; no more food all over the floor! It has a small lip and so it doesn't spill out.Cleaning these are so easy - just pop it in the dishwasher! I would definitely buy these again. No regrets!

This is a really handy item. I have 3 cats and 1 of them is a "bowl dipper," in other words he sticks his paw into the water bowl and displaces half of the water. So in getting this mat the water doesn't sit on my wood floor or even a towel I've tried putting underneath which quickly gets musty. The only down side to this is that unless I actually wipe the water off of it, if I try to pick it up and dump it it's too wimpy to make it to the sink and spills all over the floor. So I wish it was thicker. There is a small lip around the edge which I like but this also could be slightly higher

This product works great. I use little Corelle dishes for my cat food, and they don't budge. One of my cats is finicky and gets his food on the floor all around his dish. This same cat also is feeling awkward about standing on the mat, but I expected that out of him. When I put him on the mat, he will stand without moving (like he feels awkward) and eat his food. He will get used to it. My other cat has no problem standing on the mat. The mat and its rim is not too thick either (but also feels durable), so it is as comfortable as possible to stand on and to maneuver around.

I’ve ordered about 6 of these for all kinds of different things and they are incredibly helpful! Order the first one for under my dogs dish, but then realized they could be used in SO many different ways….cabinet liners, under the laundry detergent dispenser, paint your nails over it, place under craft projects….the list goes on!

I've had these mats for 2 years and I do not have any complaints about their usefulness. The construction; my preference for a thicker mat is my hang-up.Regardless of its lack of thickness, I am REALLY satisfied with this purchase and will buy again.

I found this super easy to wipe with a sponge, rinse off, and dry with a paper towel. That’s a good thing since my cat is a big slob who gets dry and wet food on it. His china bowls do not slip but he can push stainless bowls around, even with a rubber patch on the bottom, which is my reason for 4 stars. I got one for my neighbor who uses it in front of the litter box to catch litter for easy cleanup.

I cleans very easily. Keeps the food off the table where we have have to feed the cats. The dog eats anythng within reach. I wish the mat was made as a square. I think it would serve the purpose better
