I tried fitting batman (LEGO character) in its mouth and if I make it sit, only the tips of the ears (if the mask) come out. To answer your question, I think it depends on the mini figure.

I’m familiar with resin, I would be surprised if it melted, but it might affect the thinner parts like fins or tail.
