It works just as good as the more expensive ones.
Does the job. More work than a battery operated device for 5 times the cost. In fact, the parts are interchangeable with my other PEX tool, which cost me considerably more at Menards and didn't have as many dies for different sizes.

Good tool for the price
Remodeling my main bathroom and needed to splice into my 5/8 radiant heat hePex so just the 2 fittings. This was the only reasonably price that had a 5/8. The tool worked great, I ended up using the tool for the plumbing work since it work so great. Remember to rotate as you expand otherwise you risk a leak. I did rotate the tool but found out if you rotate the tool counterclockwise the head does not rotate as it doesn't lock to the tool. I had two leaks, I redid them and saw the expansion head was not rotating :( So rotating the tool clockwise if you can or I manually rotated the expansion head (unscrewing it) 1/3 each expansion.

ok tool
difficult to expand pipe manually , if I was doing a whole house I would purchase an electric expansion tool. It worked for me as I only had 3 joints to do.

PEX-A is worth the price of admission
First time using any PEX piping. PEX-A is the latest and greatest I guess. But the convenience factor and time saved vs any other methods made buying this tool a very worthwhile investment. I was planning to return it after this job, but I was so impressed, I decided to keep it for future jobs. Such a time saver. This one has more sizes than many others for the same price. Feels sturdy. As an ASE master auto tech, I'm picky about tools. This one exceeded my expectations for the cost

Extremly difficult to use
Product arms are not long enough to leverage for larger fittings expansion.....bought while rounding up products for a project and now cannot return. It is hard to leverage enough expansion power with these shorter arms and adding to that any issues with accessibility makes using the product extremely difficult. It is no cheap shortcut if it is ineffective on larger fittings....eg ANYTHING over 1/2 inch. Be wary of use on small fittings if you do not have the space to get behind the tool with alot of muscle cause you will be doing ALL the work.
