Are these boots slip resistant?

Yes, they are. I’m on my second pair of these boots. They’re a great all-weather, all-season boot.

are these boots lined with gore tex ? or what them water proof ?

I don’t know what they’re lined with but they are indeed water proof and comfortable providing excellent support. The tongue squeaks when new but a little Vaseline on the backside of the eyelets cures that.

Do these boots have good arch support? I have flat feet and need good arch support.

No. But buying the arch inserts will work. I too have a flat foot, size 13, and a very bad back and wow these boots are worth the money. I love mine. Very light weight and easy to break in.

are they ankle boots ?

Well they cover my ankle bone so I'd say yes. I install cabinets and am on the floor a lot and thes shoes protect my ankle bones fron digging in the floor. Very well made, comfortable, light and stylish. I'm very pleased.
