Excellent Choice - works as described
Bought this product for a motor home and it has proven to be a good investment… easy to drain and small. Saves replacing disposable desiccants which can be costly and quite a problem if the contents are leaked or spilled. Product arrived first time with crack in reservoir…. It could be made a bit stronger….that’s the only negative I’ve seen. And after months now of use, it is reliable and effective. A money saver over other options.

to say the least, it doesn't work as advertised (or should I say it doesn't work at all)
I can confirm that those 1 star reviews have its credibility. I live in New York city and the humidity can easily reach 70% during the day. I bought the dehumidifier about 3 weeks ago (it's 5/31/2022 the time I write this review). I had it on 3 days and nights non-stop. I had the setting on 40% humidity and it never crossed below 60%. It didn't even collect water more than 1/3 of the tank, in the entire time. My basement is about 450 sqf. Now whether it has something to do with the room size, humidity level and air circulation, I can never tell. To me. 450 sqf and 70% humidity is the common setting and any dehumidifer should work under this condition, especially I have windows open and a box fan on more of the time. I returned the unit and feel obligated the share my review. The product never broke. It was just never functional.

Good babg for your buck
I use this in a 5x5 ft tent and it can keeps the humidity at %45 if my fans are not pulling in lots of air. When the fans are up it does struggle but thats what id expect. Only reason I have to give 4 stars instead of 5 is because you cannot turn off the rather bright blue lights all over the device, without turning it all the way off.

Don't Go By Reviews
I bought this based on the star ratings and some reviews. Then I noticed almost all reviews were for ribbons, shower curtains..everything except this dehumidifier. Don't lose the tiny remote control because you can't operate it without the remote. My first remote did not work. I had to return the whole thing for another one. The dehumidifier works but is not I deal for a 500 sq ft room. Maybe half that size. This does not drop my humidity below 60%. Hardly any water in the tank after 3 days or more. I am looking for something more efficient that will hold the humidity at 45-50%. I would not buy this again, just because of the remote.

Do not buy, pick another unit!
Okay, first of all. The dang temperature is written in Celsius. What in tarnation is 23c in freedom units? I have no idea, brother. I see no way to change it either!Problem #2. The unit is remote operated ONLY. Without the dinky little remote smaller that weighs less than a couple of pennies, the unit IS INOPERABLE.Problem #3. This is a supply chain issue, it probably won't happen to you, right? My unit said "tank full" when I plugged it in and didn't stop saying that until I took a dang knife to the tank reader and cut it. Then it was fine I guess. Not a fan.Problem #4. The controls are ass, Sleep mode turns the fan down and shuts the lights off. What if I want to sleep in a dry room? Can I keep the fan on high? Nope. What if I want to turn off that annoying blinky light show in the front and just have it display the humidity? Nope.

Does not do what claimed
I have now gone through 4 thermo-electric dehumidifiers with humidistats: this Tekola model, 2 Ivation 45 models, and a Vremi. (Perhaps models with built-in humidistats are poorly made?) Except for one Ivation, the RH% was way off. (I have two hygrometers in the room.) None of them could bring an 8x10x8 closed room, where I have my guitars, from 63% to under 55% although running continually for a several days. It is not a damp room. Finally, I bought a the older compressor model, a refurbished Haier. It is bigger and heavier, but does the job. It probably draws more energy when on, but shuts off automatically rather than running continuously. Wish I had started with this!

Used for over a month and the tank never filled.
This dehumidifier is advertised for basements with high humidity. I have a tiny yoga studio of 350 square feet. I purchased this to cut down the summer humidity and because it was small and sleek. We plugged this in and ran it constantly for about 30 days and the water level in the tank never even reached an inch. It IS quiet and it IS sleek, but it does a very poor job of removing moisture from the air. I tried to give it time to work, and now I cannot return this. It's just going to take up space in my closet. I'm out of $90 and still do not have a dehumidifier. Bummer.
