Initially was going to buy a Casio S110 but then I came across this model (not full size) I wanted a digital piano that had weighted & textured keys. This is perfect as a first piano. Doesn’t take up too much space. Compared to keyboards I used to play as a child is unbelievably good. Sufficient features, brilliant sound & quality feel. The colour is more of a grey, looks expensive!

Overall an excellent keyboard, light, a good construction, small enough to throw on the backseat of the car but with a couple of weaknesses that I have found in the first day’s use.Firstly, the USB host connection is micro USB not USB A. No micro USB cable is included. So if you’re connecting it to GarageBand or a music learning app, you may find that your device doesn’t recognise the piano. What I have found is that most micro usb cables are unsuitable, the only micro USB cable that worked was an old android micro USB to USB A charging cable. This cable was noticeably thicker than other cables.The next weakness is that the design sacrifices buttons for design aesthetics. This means pressing keys for changing settings thereby requiring a manual close by to refer to. However this doesn’t happen often, so it’s not a dealbreaker.Other than that, an excellent keyboard for the price.(Amazon- when selling a keyboard through Amazon Warehouse, please don’t sellotape the keys. This leaves a sticky residue that’s difficult to remove).#####UPDATE##########The Casio Bluetooth dongle makes a big difference to midi usability - this is a must buy.I have found out that the synth sound is an emulation of the Oberheim OB-Xa used on Van Haley’s “Jump”. Still enjoying this keyboard!

My first keyboard and am enjoying playing every now and again. Good size and nice semi weighted function adds to the longevity of using it in these early stages.No screen or tonnes of bells and whistles which I prefer as the analogue experience is underrated. Does have good amount and varied sound options, recording and app connectivity.

This is a quality keyboard - which I’ve used through a mixer and effects pedals. However, keys are just a tad smaller than standard and I find a little slippery

I got the black one, and I will say that the text next to the buttons is more grey than white. This worried me for a few hours; I wondered if the red one with black text might have been easier to see. But never fear: after just a few hours you realise that it's so easy to use you don't need to be able to read the text, you don't even need to be able to see that buttons. You can select all the sounds by touch in the dark :)You may find that the 28 default sounds (I'm not including the change any use of 'surround' makes) it comes with enough for you, as they are all very useable. There are 61 tones in total if you want to experiment with keyboard selection. There are 7 more you can add to the top buttons for easy access too; layers octave shifts, reverbs, pedal function (doesn't come with one) etc. can be fiddled with and saved to the instant access top buttons.If you want to add those 7 user configs, or really do pretty anything else you'll need the manual. But you'll remember how to change the metronome tempo, volume and time signature easily enough. You can set other things to be recalled when you switch it on too., so you don't need the manual often once you have the instrument set up how you like it.So great sounds, a players interface, usb to your pc if you want to use Ableton or Cakewalk etc.One thing annoys me: the manual says that I need to change the battery type from normal if I use rechargeable batteries. I do not need to do this on my Roland, so why should Casio insist that I do it here?

I have just recieved my Casio CT-S1 keyboard today and it's (pardon the language) bloody fantastic! The onboard speakers are incredible! I doubt that I would want to use any external speakers when taking it out, but if opportunity arises, using external speakers would only enhance an otherwise amazing sound even more! I HAVE BEEN PLAYING ALL AFTERNOON, and emjoyed it so much, I actually forgot to eat :) I am one of the fussiest people going when it comes to sound quality and quality of instrumental sounds.....this simply blew me away!! so anyone sitting on the fence (like I did, I have to confess) don't hesitate if looking for a great sounding portable keyboard, at a fantastic price. I have a Yamaha Genos as my main Workstation for composing at home, so as you can imagine my standards are very high. Just wanted this to take out with me when I perform. Honestly I cannot wait to take this out with me! YouTube videos do not do the sound of the onboard speakers any justice, you wold have to hear this for yourself to believe how great this little keyboard is. Anyone reading this, please bear in mind that to get the best sound from this you should have it on a stand, as there are speakers on the underside as well which many people don't realise, so you don't want to mute those by putting it on a table if you can possible help it. Apart from my Genos, this is the best buy I have made in a while. If there had been a 10 star option on Amazon it would have got a 10 for sure.

Sound is a very subjective thing to try and convey. If you are in the market for a beginner keyboard, your shortlist probably includes the Yamaha PSR-E373 and the Roland GO Piano. There are about a hundred videos on YouTube, where these three instruments go head to head. All I can tell you, is if you decide on the Casio, you will not be disappointed. It is a fantastic electronic piano. It also comes with access to Casio's tutorial software/apps. It is advertised as a beginner keyboard, but the sound is so! good, I can see myself using this keyboard for years. The keys even have an ivory texture on them. It is a superb! keyboard.

It sounds good, it looks good, it's nice and compact and is very light weight.I've had mine now for about a month and ordered this as a replacement for my 88 Key Yamaha digital piano which was just to big and I'm more than happy that I did.The keys are lovely and soft to the touch and design to look and feel like a real piano.Love it :)

Suono tastiere da 40 anni e ho e ho avuto diversi strumenti professionali. Ho preso questa tastierina per avere qualcosa di leggero da portare alle prove o in giro quando mi serve solo il piano. In questa recensione cercherò di farvi capire i punti forti (molti) e quelli deboli (pochi, ma che possono essere importanti) e soprattutto di farvi capire a chi è rivolta e se fa per voi.Design e costruzione: ottimo, il design è molto elegante, compatta, leggera, la costruzione è solida e le plastiche di qualità. Dettagli come il tessuto che ricopre la parte con gli speaker e il panno di feltro rosso dove la tastiera si congiunge con lo chassis (come nei pianoforti) aggiungono un tocco premium (per così dire). Insomma, diversamente da altre Casio che sembrano un giocattolo per bambini, questa fa la sua figura.Suoni: qui Casio ha fatto veramente un gran lavoro, soprattutto lo ha fatto con criterio. Il concetto è: pochi suoni, classici, ma di qualità. Il piano è veramente buono, chiaramente non al livello di fascia professionale, ma per la fascia di prezzo è sorprendente. L'altra cosa che sorprende è la selezione dei suoni. Ci sono vari piani elettrici: diversi Rhodes in varie salse e con vari effetti tipo phaser o ampli, poi il clavinet (con o senza Wah), il Wurli, il CP80, il classico piano della DX7... Ci sono due Hammond con differenti configurazioni delle drawbars, nella sezione Synth ci sono i suoni base classici: un synth brass tipo quello di Jump, delle synth strings, un lead a dente di sega... c'è persino il mitico flauto del Mellotron (quello dell'intro di Strawberry Fields per intenderci). Insomma, chi ha scelto i suoni sapeva cosa stava facendo e ha selezionato i grandi strumenti elettronici del passato. Completano il tutto alcuni strumenti acustici come archi, fiati, una chitarra acustica, un organo da chiesa, un vibrafono... E i suoni sono tutti di buona qualità, assolutamente sopra quelli che si trovano generalmente nelle tastiere con centinaia di suoni in questa fascia di prezzo. Pensate che il clavicembalo ha addirittura il rumore del plettro che pizzica la corda quando si rilascia il tasto. Ottimo.Speaker: anche qui un piccolo miracolo, mi aspettavo un suono da radiolina, invece no. Non è fortissimo, ma rende bene, non sembra troppo inscatolato. Il pulsante Surround poi funziona davvero, creando un suono che sembra che provenga da intorno a voi. Ovviamente, gli speaker restano piccoli e una volta collegata a un impianto audio è tutta un'altra cosa. Diciamo che è un obbligo a casa. E però gli speaker sono più che utilizzabili in viaggio.Veniamo ai punti un po' più dolenti:Tastiera: qui siamo ben lontani dai livelli di una tastiera professionale, anche restando nel campo delle non pesate. Però, per la fascia di prezzo, non ci si può lamentare. C'è la risposta alla dinamica, con tre diverse curve selezionabili. Ma certo qui bisogna davvero rinunciare a qualcosa. I tasti sono incernierati molto vicino al loro margine superiore, questo è un dettaglio tecnico che solo i più esperti capiranno, ma significa che quando premete i tasti neri il dito è molto vicino al perno, in una tastiera professionale non è così, c'è un certo margine (il tasto è incernierato più indietro dentro lo chassis) e questo permette di premere più agevolmente per un'esecuzione più facile. Detto questo, per uno strumento che fa dell'economicità e della portabilità le sue prime ragioni d'essere, penso che sia un compromesso accettabile.Selezione dei suoni: scordatevi di poter cambiare velocemente il suono nel mezzo di un brano in un'eventuale utilizzo dal vivo. Ci sono 61 suoni, dei quali solo 28 selezionabili con i pulsanti del pannello (c'è da dire però che sono quelli principali). Per gli altri, bisogna tenere premuto un pulsante e poi premere il tasto giusto sulla tastiera. Anche per i suoni selezionabili da pannello, il meccanismo non è agevole: prima si preme un tasto per selezionare la categoria (piano, e-piano, synth...) e poi un altro tasto va premuto ripetutamente per ciclare i 4 suoni della categoria fino a trovare quello desiderato. Come detto, va bene a casa, ma dal vivo potrete realisticamente cambiare solo fra un pezzo e l'altro.Impostazione dei parametri: anche questa, si fa tenendo premuto il tasto Function e poi premendo dei tasti sulla tastiera. Ovviamente, serve avere sempre il manuale a disposizione.Conclusione: i punti forti sono: portabilità (peso e dimensioni ridotti), qualità dei suoni, costruzione e design. I punti deboli: complessità nella selezione di suoni e parametri, tastiera che costringe a qualche compromesso (ma non eccessivo e comunque adeguato alla fascia di prezzo).A chi è diretta? A chi sa già suonare e ha già tastiere, ma vuole uno strumento facile da trasportare e con buoni suoni e speaker, ad esempio per portarlo alle prove, in vacanza, eccetera, spendendo poco.Oppure ai principianti che vogliono spendere il meno possibile, magari perché pensano di fare un upgrade più avanti, ma vogliono qualcosa con un bel suono, oppure hanno già un o strumento di qualità superiore e vogliono una seconda tastiera facilmente trasportabile per prove/studio.Io me ne sono subito innamorato. Ha fascino la piccoletta, anche per un tastierista esperto, perché ci ritrovi i suoni giusti. Ovviamente non stiamo parlando di qualità professionale, ma comunque in grado di dare soddisfazione.

Llevaba un tiempo buscando un teclado secundario y portable para llevar conmigo cuando estoy de viaje y matar el gusanillo de tocar un poco. Ya sé que no es lo mismo que un piano "de verdad", pero no puedo llevarme mi piano acústico en el coche.He probado de todo: el P45 de Yamaha, el Privia de Casio, un teclado plegable de una marca que no mencionaré... Los primeros son pianos eléctricos más que decentes, pero demasiado voluminosos y pesados como para transportarlos con facilidad. En cuanto al teclado plegable... Uf... Digamos que se trata de una excelente idea pésimamente ejecutada, con un tacto penoso y un sonido aún peor (¿para cuándo un teclado plegable decente de una marca reconocida?). Una verdadera lástima, porque era comodísimo de transportar y, una vez desplegado, tenías un teclado de tamaño completo a tu disposición.Este nuevo Casiotone suena verdaderamente bien, como un Privia. Los altavoces proporcionan un sonido decente incluso a tope de volumen. El aspecto es robusto. El plástico de las teclas está levemente texturizado y es agradable, aunque esto irá en gustos, claro. El teclado en sí no es contrapesado, es decir, no tiene en absoluto el tacto de un piano acústico ni el de un buen piano eléctrico, pero ofrece cierta resistencia y tiene una buena sensibilidad.En la parte negativa: que solo tiene 61 teclas, claro. Se queda pequeño para interpretar muchas piezas, pero los teclados similares de 88 teclas son realmente enormes para un maletero convencional (me repito: ¡¿para cuándo un teclado plegable decente?!).Lo recomendaría para aquellas personas que quieren un teclado secundario fácil de transportar para viajar con él o para tocar en cualquier sitio fuera de casa. Para los principiantes puede servir para dar los primeros pasos sin un gran desembolso, pero durante muy poco tiempo: si continúas tocando el piano vas a necesitar un teclado completamente contrapesado donde la dureza y el tacto de las teclas sea más realista que en el Casiotone o en cualquier otro teclado de esta gama.

Je suis ravie de cet achat.CASIO nous offre ici un super modèle transportable, qui peut jouer sur piles, avec d'excellentes sonorités (piano, pianos électriques et orgues sont tops) et ce qu'il faut pour poursuivre son apprentissage (métronome, un petit séquenceur pour s'enregistrer).Les HP sont très bons et la fonction surround bien agréable.Certes il faut toujours avoir le manuel à proximité ou sur smartphone si l'on souhaite faire quelques réglages puisque tout est programmable via les touches noires ou blanches....ce n'est d'ailleurs pas toujours très clair...mais des vidéos sur le net m'ont bien aidé.Pour le prix (215 euros), ce clavier léger de chez CASIO me semble actuellement imbattable.Merci CASIO :)) Le toucher réglable et texturé sont très agréables et donnent envie de jouer! Je m'amuse vraiment !Il y a des reverbs, on peut transposer, équaliser, brancher une pédale de sustain, il y a un pupitre, on peut connecter un casque et éventuellement mettre le Bluetooth (option avec un dongle)....plutôt complet!A AMELIORER sur futures versions :***J'aurais adoré un LOOP pour pouvoir boucler la séquence enregistrée....******J'aurais aimé plus de sons de basses pour pouvoir splitter le clavier car il n'y a qu'une seule basse comme choix (une contrebasse).****** une prise plus longue! C'est vraiment court pour brancher! Il faut être juste à côté de la prise!Seul bémol avec l'offre promotionnelle qui devait être avec lapplication Flowkey gratuites pendant 3 mois et qui m'a été finalement proposé avec Skoove....A part cela, modèle fortement recommandé.👐👍👐
