An Excellent Way to Game Caesar's Invasion of Britain
This book is everything a paper soldier book should be. Beautifully illustrated, meticulously researched, well organized, and all inclusive. There are all the types of warriors needed for both armies, scenery, forts, a village, two sets of rules for play, and very solid instructions for printing and assembling your armies.I printed four copies each of the Britons, and scenery, and two copies each of the Romans. I used 24lb inkjet paper, and resized the figures to 93%, since they are scaled for A4 paper. I used one cartridge each of red and blue, and two yellow on my Canon copier. The results look very good. I assembled mine by following the given directions, but used Scotch Tacky glue, as UHU is hard to find here. Results were amazing, as this was the first time i had built soldiers on such light stock. i finished six stands of Britons in about an hour, after the glue had dried.A read-over of the rules tells me that they are solid, and will provide a good game for the newcomer, or the experienced gamer. I have printed enough figures for about a half dozen people to play!I will be buying all of the books in this series, and hope to see many more.

Great for tabletop war gaming
This book is great for table top gaming. Lots of soldiers and props to make. It even includes graphics to make a marching camp for the Roman army. You need to photocopy the pages instead of cutting them. You can either print them onto cardstock or onto regular office paper and then glue that to heavier stock.

Amazing value for your money
War game:the roman invasion meet and exceeded all my expectations. Armed with a pair of scissors and a good paper glue, you can cut and assemble the two armies nessasary to play the simple wargame that is included in the book. Also included are terrain such as trees and a roman marching fort.

If you liked this then......
I really like Peter's books and as a source for cheap wargaming miniatures, especially for younger gamers they are great value. Yes there is some crafting to be done but this is far less of a chore than assembling, basing and painting metal\plastic figuresBest of all on Peter's site-link through the Paperboys facebook page- he is offering a range of expansion sheets that include,Carthaginians, Ceasarian romans, Republican Romans, Germans, Gauls and ParthiansAt only £1 these add so much to this book. Looking forward to expansions for the other books in the series

Isnt gold all things that shine.
Its cool, the paper os good and the print have a good quality, in the other side It have both sides printed with different models so you need yo copy each side you are going to use so It makes It more expensive than looks at firstsight. The rules are no included either but isnt as important since they provide a source to get It.

Peter Dennis delivers another great title in the Battles for Britain series
Peter Dennis delivers another great title in the Battles for Britain series. The artwork is outstanding and there's plenty of troop types. If you've access to an A4 scanner/printer it's easy to print out at home and a perfect way to keep kids/grandkids amused for a rainy afternoon. Not just for the young ones though,an evening spent printing, folding and gluing will give us old'uns everything we need to contest the "Rotten Romans".Highly recommended.
