So I busted my butt recently, decided I needed to be proactive, bought similar item for my daughter and this for myself. Well, for starters, this is not .78" EVA foam padding. I measured it with calipers, its only .6" which was the main reason I bought these over others. Also, bought the 3xl because I'm 6'2" 220lb, and these are not 3XL. They will fit, but due to the nature of the fabric, which is super stretchy, the pads are not sufficiently sized for 3xl, they're no bigger pads than my daughters and she's 11yrs, so there are large areas lacking coverage due to the stretch, I have 2" gaps between the coxis and cheek pads, which the cheek pads are terribly undersized, only about 2" wide themselves. Since they're obviously going for a 'one-size-fits-all' sales model, I can tell you that these are crazy tight around my waist, far too tight and uncomfortable around my thighs and crotch, and they ride down my butt bad because they're not truly 3xl, though they have a 3xl label... I would say these are size large at best, probably ok for a 32" waist MAX. There's too much fabric or not enough pad in the places there should be, and not enough fabric in others. Stitching and fabric seems to be satisfactory. Would not be comfortable for a day ride much less a few minutes in the backyard, they're just not made well enough. I'm just going to bite the bullet and buy the crazy expensive ones, because if they don't do the job they're intended for then they are of no use. Wouldn't trust them. Returning these.

They have some padding. But no protection for the tail bone (if you're to fall on your bottom) but maybe they're all like that. The padding is ok, definitely will provide some cushion. Just was expecting a bit more sturdy. I like that these were affordable but probably wouldn't recommend to figure skaters. My daughter is afraid of falling & she's leaning to play ice hockey so these work ok for her, helps her feel more confident on ice.

My twins are doing ice skating and these are definable essential for my kids. They love the feeling of falling on ice but don’t want to get hurt. This is perfect for twins to wear when they do ice skate!

If you want to make your kids experience enjoyable learning to ice skate, there is no reason to not get these or hockey pants. They’re not expensive, and they really help for falls that they’ll consistently have.

The product arrived inside a dirty, ragged ziplock bag with no label and no care instructions, not even a tag for the size. It looked like something bought from the flea market for $5. The padding is good and does the job. However, the cover, fabric is very thin and flimsy. The paddings are not stitched to the fabric and need to be manually adjusted after putting on the shorts. I would give more stars if the price is lowered by half.

I wear about a size 4-6 women’s, these shorts worked out fine for me. The seam around the thighs was too thigh so I nipped the seam.
