Gutterworks.com Offset Downspout Diverter for Rain Barrels (3X4, Low Gloss White)

Recently had gutters installed and was also putting in two 275 gallon IBC totes to collect rainwater. Installer said they would connect the downspouts to the rain barrells. While researching online, I decided I did not want to put an overflow drain on the totes. I looked at the plastic diverters and read customer reviews. They just had too many problems and failures. The only drawback on this item is that once my tote is full, I have to go out and toggle the switch closed so the water will channel through the downspout and not overflow the tote. This product was an identical match to the gutters I was installing...even the color, clay, was a perfect match. Totes filled up with first rain. Got this all done and in place just as my water utility is beginning to measure water usage to determine wastewater fee. Looking for savings to kick in immediately.

This would have received 5 stars but I could not rate it due to the following: My first review was declined because it didn't talk about the product. Review are to also help out other consumers. The product looks like it would have worked perfectly. Made solid, valve is good etc. Exactly for redirecting water from a rain collection barrel that is overflowing, this would have helped me out especially in some of the storms we received here. However, double check, TRIPLE CHECK your downspout size, then quadruple check your order before pressing checkout. Not only is this not part of Amazon Prime shipping, returning it will cost you 25% to 33% of the price of the product. I was going to reorder the correct size until this happened.

Just the right gauge to make easy to flex, yet strong.My wife thinks I’m a genius.We collect water in rain barrels. Now with a flip of a thumb, we can divert it away from the house whenthe barrels are full.These are all aluminum. No plastic to break in the cold.Color is awesome and doesn’t fade.

Easy to use. I bought this when I was having new gutters and downspouts installed. The people who did that had never seen this device before, but they thought it was slick. They connected it for me.After a good rain, the rain barrel was full so I switched it to downspout mode.

Works great. Purchased twice now. Love the fact that it comes with a few extra down spout attachments to make installation easier. If it's raining hard and you swap the direction, it will leak out of the top for a second while moving the arm, though. Overall a great purchase, highly recommended.
