SturdyShape 12 Inch Soil Probe

Exceptionally pleased. I bought the shorter one and, for the price, was expeting cheap quality metal. At roughly 2/3 the price of the competitors, it's everything I need for my lawn and for my wife's crops. I was about to give up searching because every competitor was in the $20+ range and I couldn't understand how a steel sampler would be priced that high. Was ready to buy one at $18.99 when this pone popped into my browser screen. Very glad of this purchase. It's everything a sampler should be at a reasonable price.

Wish it was easier to push out soil samples.

Finally I can test my soil! my grass has been yellowing lately and I need to know if the ph is low ! I am sending out my soil samples and this kit comes with everything I need to do that! Good quality and the tool itself is very nice made. I REPEAT, THE TOOL IS VERY NICELY WELDED! Very easy to obtain my soil sample! Design is very well made.

I live in Upstate Sout Carolina and we have pretty hard, compact red clay. I had tried another soil probe and had to use a rubber mallet to hammer it in deep enough to get an accurate sample. As you can imagine it bent and I was unable to remove the sample. So I searched again and this one seemed promising. It arrived, I used it, and yes, I still needed to hammer it in but it went without damage. I was able to get my samples and will be able to use it again for years to come! If your "soil" is like mine then definitely spend a little extra (save money long term) and get this one.
