Great Card
On watching reviews I thought I'd try an Angelbird Cfexpress B card & it's very good. I am using it in a Z8 and it has never gotten hot in the camera or reader and it is blazing fast; never given me a read or write problem. Plus, they are far cheaper than other brands. Hurray Angelbird!

Certainly! Here’s a positive post for the Angelbird AV PRO CFexpress B SE memory card:
I’ve been using the Angelbird AV PRO CFexpress B SE (512 GB) memory card, and it’s been an exceptional addition to my gear. The fast speeds are impressive, allowing me to record up to 8K RAW effortlessly. The performance at this price point is truly mind-boggling.The build quality is robust, which gives me confidence that it can withstand the heat generated by the camera and endure occasional drops. This card has served me well, making it a reliable choice for both video and photo content production.Highly recommended for anyone in need of a high-capacity, durable, and fast memory card!

Understanding Sustained Write Speeds Is Important
This card suffers from the same problem that many other brands succumb to, the need to advertise "peak" read speeds on the card to help sell cards. The real story here is in sustained write speeds. When it's all said and done, this is the most important statistic in any memory card. It tells you what the card is capable of doing in your camera. In the case of this Angelbird AV PRO SE, that's "Sustained write speed of 800 MB/s". Meaning this card is capable of 8K RAW and 4K120p. I've tested this against my other cards (ProGrade Cobalt) and have seen no difference in photography RAW image buffer on the Canon R3 or video recording in any format on the R3/R5. It did, however, cost considerably LESS than my ProGrade Digital cards.Where this cards actually falls short is with an unusually slow startup time when installed in your camera. The R5 and R3 both take a little more time to actually turn on versus startup times with the ProGrade cards. There are firmware updates avilable for the cards that annoyingly must be performed with Angelbird's own reader. I picked one of these up and upgraded the firmware on one of mine - this made no difference in startup times in either camera. One of my cards says it can't be upgraded because it's not compatible with the firmware update - they're exactly the same card. So I don't know what's going on there...but it didn't make a difference with the R5 so I won't bother with it.I think the firmware updates are very stupid because no other CFExpress card on the market (to my knowledge) require this or even offer it. So why does Angelbird need it?

I will buy another.
I was apprehensive about buying this card as it was new to me and I have only bought Sandisk and Lexar CF cards. After 6 months of use, I have had no problems with my Panasonic GH6 shooting 4k 60. For the price it's a steal.Additional info that may or may not help. I leave it running with a dummy battery and have it record usually 3-4 hours of video. Never stopped recording.

Would have been great
This does not play well with card readers you have to spend almost another $100 to get a card reader made by angelbird for it to work" reliably" if thats possible. I have 3 readers already and one of them in My OWC 8 bay drive case. This is the one I use the most, normally after putting it in and out 5 or 6 times it will work.I dropped the score to 1 star. This card is such a pain. I was on sight and need to quickly upload photos to my computer to process and upload online for a customer to look at. It refused to work with the card reader I had, so I tried to get it to connect using my Z7ii after plugging it in over and over turning the camera off and on Nikon transfer finally found it. This is obviously with paid talent waiting for me. I ordered another card which is not here yet and had a job today with several hours of video every time it gets to 40 or 50 gigs it disconnects. This is my last anglebird product.OK last review ordered the card reader its big does not have the push to eject that even the super cheep one I have does, not compatible with XQD cards, reads at a little over 400mbs. super cheep $30 one I have 1200 mbs.******************STAY WAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANIES PRODUCTS*********************Somebody grabbed this thing again put it in a camera again. Had to get their slow reader out again. I bought this card on August 22 2022 almost a year ago they said unlike other cards the firmware was undateable well they haven't had an update to fix this card to work, unlike all other cards that can't be updated but will work in any card reader. It and the card reader is in the trash now can't afford not to be able to access cards this way close to $300 in the trash.

money saver for a card
I bought this to be used in canon r5c for raw video shooting.it works perfectly. had no issues with all video formats, codecs and frame rates on the canon r5c.the only concern I had is that when I tried to update the firmware as illustrated by Angelbird website and guidelines, this didn't work on Mac-ventura unfortunately.but the card worked as expected and even copying the videos on the computer was fast.

Fantastic company
I wouldn't use anyone else for my Nikon needs. I had a snafu with the transfer of photos and my computer and Angelbird went above and beyond to get my pictures off of the card. The snafu was not on their end.
