I have a small front lawn which needed a lot of TLC this spring. I decided to tackle the job myself~i’ve had a lot of good luck with this brand of garden tools in the past and this aerator has lived up to its expectations.My goal was to over-seed and revamp barren patches. But before I do that I needed to aerate the soil to allow seeds, nutrients and air to get into the ground.I am pleasantly surprised at the quality of the material and the sturdiness of the final put-together product. It was easy to assemble and included a thoughtful pair of gloves to protect my already callused hands.The spikes are sharp so the aerator does most of the work to to break a soil.The handles are well cushioned for protection and comfort, It’s easy to use, providing terrific results and This tool is made to last.I’m very happy with this purchase!

I debated on which one of the many similar products to purchase even the more expensive one that has the cores. I'm glad I went with this one. Only tried it a couple times so far but it seems to work well. It pushes in without too much effort as long as the ground is very moist, though you might have to wiggle it a bit to get it in all the way. Pulls out just fine if you wiggle it a little more. My only issue is that the spikes are quite narrow compared to a aerator machine but perhaps if they were larger diameter it would be that much harder to push it in. I like to add seed to the holes in the spring and this will make that more effort but I'm saving money doing it myself. In the end it's a cost vs. benefit analysis between hiring a professional and doing this yourself but for the price and quality of the product I'm very happy with the purchase.

I have been having issues with watering/grass growth and needed a tool to aerate the dead area and this did the job!Yes, it takes some body weight and effort to use, but even the hard/rocklike areas where no issues for this tool.I have seen some comments stating that the tools provided did not work to build the unit, but those comments do not know how to use tools. The two wrench's will get the job done but will require some effort/determination... however if you have a Ratchet/Socket Wrench and a Locking Plier its as easy as pie to put together.Great, cheap, effective product!

I must say, using this lil lawn aerator was a downright fun experience. It brought out my inner green thumb enthusiast, as I could see the spikes working their magic with each plunge. Plus, it's always satisfying to see those little holes appearing all over the lawn.After giving my lawn a good aeration session with this little wonder, I couldn't believe the transformation. Within weeks, my grass went from lackluster to lush, thanks to improved oxygenation and nutrient delivery. So glad I gave this a try to get back to green lawns.

This is a strong steel spike, but my lawn is full of rocks so not easy to put my 200 pounds on the spike foothold. I bought a power washer and decided to use that instead. Much more expensive, but much easier to use.Edit:. I think instead of spikes the protruding spike would be better as protruding cylinders. But, still, the rocky ground in my back yard, under the old sod would make that tough too. The spikes did work easier in the front yard. Maybe fewer rocks under that old sod.

Assembled right out of the box in less than ten minutes. How? Because the manufacturer was smart and considerate enough to put in the tools you need to assemble it with. And I also got 2 extra bolts with plastic Nuts. That's right! Teflon/ plastic nuts so they won't come lose and fall off while you're using this bad boy! Really? Yes, and it also came with gloves. Loved the gloves!Easy to use, okay this isn't rocket science, you put it where you want the holes and step on it. Then with a wee bit of back and forth to put it up and out. Next! (Pictures include as proof I actually bought it)I gave it 4 stars so you would read my review. I went on-line and researched aerators and this was the best for the money hands down. Some said the 3 1/2" depth wasn't long enough. They evidently didn't consider their sprinkler systems PVC irrigation pipes. Some caution to consider when using this if you have a sprinkler system. Let's not go poking holes in it.Maintenance Myst!

I purchased this tool to aerate my lawn after purchasing a pair of aerating shoe attachments that didn't work well at all.Upon taking this out of the box, it was easy to put together with the tools that were provided. After assembling the aerator, it looked very sturdy. I tested this on my compacted lawn and can confirm it worked better than I expected. It's extremely easy to use and clean for storage.

Easy to assemble - sturdy but light. Easy to use to puncture holes in turf but make sure lawn is softened with water beforehand. Very happy with this!

We had 60 cms of snow this year in two days and consequently lots more moss than usual. The clay based soil creates a real drainage problem. The aerator seems to work well easily penetrating the lawn surface and leaving reasonable channels to allow the lawn to breath. Easily assembled and easy to use.
