The Perfect Book for a Non-Artist
I am a huge fan of Peggy Dean's work, and this book is another fabulous resource! I do not have a formal art background, and I struggle to draw anything that resembles what it's supposed to be. I received my book yesterday and drew these beautiful flowers! Thank you, Peggy!

Tons of inspiration, broken down into simple steps
This is a wonderful book for any artist, designer, hand letterer looking for inspiration. The style is fun and modern, each drawing broken down into easy to follow steps. But also can easily be changed and combined to create something unique.PROS:The format is simple - 200 flowers, branches, leaves, succulents, cacti, mushrooms, acorns, etc. broken down step by step. If illustrating has ever seemed intimidating, this book makes it very easy to get started. There's a broad range of flora in the book, including potted cacti and a cute little mason jar terrarium.CONS:The only (small) con for me is, once again, the print quality. Sadly, I returned her lettering book because the quality was so poor there were nearly blank spots in the middle of a few pages. Happily, the quality on this book is MUCH better. But, the gray print still looks pixelated and the paper is still thin. I think this bothers me because it's such a lovely book and deserves to look it's best. Peggy Dean is super talented, and I hope she's able to find a publisher or a better printer for future books.Overall, super pleased I bought this book. :)

Perfect Book for the Beginners
I don’t write a lot of reviews but when something is good then I review, anyway if you feel you don’t have any artist bone in you and want too then this is the book for you. Easy to follow illustrations and the proof is in the pictures. I definitely will be on the look out for more of Peggy Deans’s books! This was my first try at line work, and loved it! I like watercolors and acrylics and using this book I was able to have fun, learn and not stressing over technique, simple easy to follow pictures. Nobody’s will ever borrow this this book , I’ve already ordered it for a friend who saw how easy it was and how great the results are with very few try’s, pictures I posted are my first time through the book, I’m about 1/2 through and still enjoining every page. Looking forward to putting it all together will update with pictures when finished

Good content, low quality
This is a nice drawing book with step by step instructions. I am enjoying the content of this book, however the quality of the printing and cheep paper used to make this book is very distracting. The paper is so thin, I can see through this the page to what is printed on the back side as well as what is on the next page. When "faded shadow lines are used for showing what to draw next, the "shadows" of the next page print are distracting. The print is also low quality (meaning, I can see the pixels of the print) when holding the book at normal reading distance from my eyes.

Nice resource
This book is a nice resource for simple botanical line drawing. It can give your imagination a nudge if you're stuck for ideas on embellishing a project. The format is simple: each drawing is broken down into 5 steps. This is both good and bad as some drawings don't need the full 5 steps and some of the more complex drawings would benefit from more steps or at least some words of advice (scale, direction of shading lines, reminder to stagger some lines, etc.) Other than the forward and about the author there aren't any words. Nothing is titled, so some leaves and flowers are obvious, while others could keep you guessing. Not having titles makes it hard to refer back to the book if you go back to it at a later time. Overall, I enjoyed it and sketched/doodles a few items within minutes of opening the book.

LOVE LOVE LOVE
Everything I hoped this would be and more! I was a huge fan of the Brush Lettering book and the skill share courses but this book is perfection. 👏👏👏

Suits my needs
Whilst this book has had mixed review, I ended up buying it because the "look inside" showed promise - for needlework, stencils and linocut. It did lack in the demonstration of how to make a cohesive picture, but then this book really isn't about that, but I can see how people would like to know how to make a bunch from the flowers.I like this book and it certainly suits my needs in my fibre art, but maybe not so much if I wanted to learn to draw.

Nice little simple doodle book
This is a nice little book, but very simplistic. I was hoping there would be some pages with more complex drawings combining different leaves and flowers, but actually each page is just one specific plant/flower. My main issue with the book leading to only 3 stars is that why on earth aren't each of the plants/flowers named? Sure some of them are quite obviously a fern, or a rose or an orchid for example, but naming each of them would have really made the book both informative and fun. Essentially this is just a fun doodle book, which I've found pretty relaxing to do, and have managed to get creative and put my own combinations together to produce more substantial drawings.

Simplistic
A lot of wasted space, and very basic drawings, overly simplified. Might have kept a child busy for a few pages before they too became bored with the repetition. The title used 'Botanical' - more like simple line drawing when I expected much better depictions of each plant. Misleading, and I felt it a waste of money.

Great for doodling! No talent needed!
Great book to start your doodling skills for botanical drawings. The book has an easy layout and the steps are super easy to follow.I own the Kindle version which helps to zoom into the pictures in case I am not sure about a specific area of the drawing. Otherwise, it really helps even very untalented people like myself to draw something very pretty! Perfect for people who like doodling, either in their bullet journal, their journals or in snail mailing. Each drawing comes in 6 easy to follow steps. There are flowers, cacti and leaves and other natural drawings. Really nice book!

Pretty fool proof
I can't draw to save my life but the step by step drawings are pretty fool proof. So many different flowers/ plants. I use it for decorating my Bullet Journal. Really pleased.

It got me started with drawing!
I needed to find an outlet to release the daily stress and this book was a godsend. It got me started with drawing and I have started sketching regularly after that. All drawings are easy to follow, some are far too easy that I wonder whether it should be on the book, but anyways it's utterly amazing. Highly recommend.
