great gaming laptop but does need more memory for games
so i spent many hours researching whether or not i wanted a desktop or a laptop when looking around the 700/750 price range. After my experience with other computers and laptops i was 50/50 so decided on a desktop but after 2 days it broke and i had to return it. so once again after getting the refund i started the search again.Came across the asus tuf gaming fx506 with a few options and different price and after researching settled on the i5 11400h gtx3050 and am very happy with the purchase except the lack of internal ssd space 500gb doesnt really have much room to play with when the elder scrolls online is 100gb new world another 45gb apex legends 70gb and far cry 6 another 70gb. However if you are just looking to get into pc gaming this little laptop is more than capable of running the latest games at medium to high settings acheiving good fps and looking beautiful on the display. The 8gb ram is a little limiting on the performance of some games but the graphics card is very good at optimising the settings and i have been able to record straight to twitch from the graphics card to test out how it is to play and stream on the same system and it holds its own with smooth gameplay and stream even with only 8gb of ram.I have spent more money on an external 2tb ssd to expand my gaming collection as my laptop was quickly filled to the brim with games that i bought on steam and the storage bot was screaming at me to clear memory. It comes with an ethernet port, hdmi 3x usb ports and a thunderbolt usb-c so can easily hook anything you want to this and it supports dual monitors so can link up to my tv if i really want to play games on a bigger screen or chill and watch movies. All in all for the price you cant get any better than this laptop for quick and easy access to pc gaming and as i use a controller to play i cant really comment on how the touchpad and keyboard feel to play but in general use the keyboard is pretty quiet depending on how hard you hit the keys and the touch pad is nice and responsive but the left click and right click buttons at the bottom sometimes take a few clicks for it to registervery happy customer

Great laptop
Runs games really well on high settings getting about 90fps on new world, RBG keyboard is nice, screen quality seems decent, i added an extra 8gb of ram before even turning it on makes a huge difference, looks stylish and feels good quality, does get hot though underneath but it is a laptop and battery life isn't great but i always have mine plugged in. Definitely happy with it

Impressive after tweaking
So bought this as my main rig is hooked up to the main TV and causes some friction at times if I want to play pc games on it.After lots of due diligence going through reviews etc I personally opted for the i5 11th gen with 8gb ram and 144hz screen.Weather or not this is the right choice in the eyes of others I don't know but it fits my needs.First thing I did without even switching it on was add another 8gb of ram and an 1tb nvme to act as game drive storage. After initially going through the usual setup process and updates I added steam, origin, etc and downloaded a few games. What can I say it plays battlefield 1 & V beautifully without anylag or clitches. With Asus Armoury grate you can alter various settings from CPU speed to switching between the rtx 3050 GPU or onboard to save battery life when not gaming.Aura well you can mess about with your RGB lighting if you wish.Looks good.Overall I'm more than happy with this for the price despite already upgrading it with what I call essentials.Lets face it 8gb ram and 500gb don't cut the mustard but it was still cheaper to do this than buy one with that spec.

Cracker!
This computer is superb for the price. Used it for week in bought config. Upgraded to 16Gb Ram and added 1TB M.2. The ease of accessibility for a novice to upgrade was excellent, This will satisfy the sweatiest of gamers. This will run just about anything you chuck at it.
