Mustang GT spark plug hell
I've done hundreds of plugs....but had no idea what I was getting into until I had broken one plug, my 5th to remove. Got on the net and read about all the tools, and ordered both the calvan and the Lisle. I was not nuts about jambing the porc into the strap, so used the calvan glued rod approach. I found the 1/8" rotation and Kano Croil worked better to soak than carb cleaner and got the last one out fine. Cleaned the non threaded part of the head with .30 cal bore swab and acetone to get out the carbon deposits. Let the adhesive sit at least 6 hours, longer if it is below 70F. Rounded the tip of the pin so it finds the hole easier. Above all, be patient. Jimmy

Worked on a couple of plugs, but...
I had 4 spark plugs in my 06 Mustang GT broken off at the porcelain. This tool was able to remove 2 of them. The other 2, however, would not come out after 3 attempts. I thought maybe I'd left the cap off the Loc-tite too long and it lost effectiveness. I bought another bottle, however, and still didn't work. The extractor pin came out without the plugs. Also, the kit includes only 4 extractor pins, and you can't reuse them per the instructions (mine became bent during extraction so they were useless anyway). If you have more than 4 broken plugs to extract, you'll need to order extra pins separately.

works
First off, I would love to smash the kneecaps of every member of the Ford committed who designed the stupid plug and their locations. Virtually impossible to remove the right rear 2 plugs, broke them and others. the tool worked where there was clearance, but not the RR two. Also special thanks to the union hack who wedged the rubber pellet in the RR spark plug wells so a socket would not engage the plugs.

Great item
The tool seems to work. The operator is having trouble. The porcelain keeps breaking off. The set comes with four pins, what if more than four spark plugs break?

It will work, maybe
Too dang complicated and relying on maybe the glue will hold sucks. A one hour wait time between plugs? When you have 6-8 plugs to remove? There is a better tool out there keep looking.

Useful for Triton 3 valve (not earlier 2 valve)
Spark plugs break in several ways. This is useful when the electrode is no longer in the ceramic.Other breaks will require other methods of extraction. This kit fits the later model Triton 3 valve engine. It is not for the earlier Triton 2 valve engines.

Follow Directions to a "T" and it failed miserably
Ordered this due to the Possibility of breaking a plug when I changed them out in my '06 F-350. I ended up breaking 2 plug and needed to pull the porcelain out to tap the remaining piece of plug out. I cleaned the porcelain with carb cleaner and blew everything dry with an air hose per the directions and then followed the directions to the letter and the only thing that pulled out was the Pin that was glued in. so I gave it another chance and let the glue set up over night and still only pulled the pin. I ended up having to knock the Porcelain down into the plug to remove the remaining end of the plug. Don't waste your money
