I can't believe how good these cut compared to other forstner bits. They cut fast, cleanly, don't smoke when drilling end grain, and don't get hot. The chip breakers really do the job and helps from getting chip build-up.The RotaStop extensions and morse taper adapters work great in the lathe.

Cuts very well, just be careful to set your drill speed correctly. I did not (unwittingly ran it at 2000 rpm instead of the correct 250-500 rpm) and over the course of 50 holes burned up my old one. Despite the higher price tag than generics, I'm happily replacing it because it works that much better.

These forstner bits have been a pleasure to use. The only time I experienced an issue was when I coupled it with the extension which got stuck and couldn't be decoupled...VERY frustrating. The bits, though, are top-notch.

Added this bit to my many other MaxiCut Forstner bits. These bits are a top-quality piece of hardware that do a wonderful job of turning out holes in the many projects I do on my wood-turning lathes.
