worst falsely advertised dj player I've ever come across.Absolutely unusable piece of trash for DJing.can't ride pitch while mixing, the pitch fader's nature is too blocky, improperly engineered, unlike any pioneer from even 2002 with digital pitch or turntable with analogue pitch. just can't it. doesn't properly increase or decrease in a smooth manner, being blocky so can't ride mixes. unusable for beatmixing. hums noises when you turn platter, crashes constantly, plays random pops or skips, doesn't hold pitch.have to convert your whole library to its supported wav/aiff formats or it plays noise when you load the files.can't index usb drives with its own searchDB. crashes.can't properly do standard 16 beat loops even using its x2 loop expansion it skips and messes up loop boundaries. just a terrible, unusable piece of garbage.doesn't read most .WAVs. doesn't support .FLACbuilt horribly. drifts pitch-1/5 stars. I bought two in a rush without usability testing and then didn't touch them for a year and horribly regret my decision to do so.avoid like the plague.

I bought 2 of these . One I bought off Amazon warehouse at a steal of a deal, and the other was brand new. I paired them up with an American audio mixer and they sound great with my jbl monitor speakers. I have this set up in my garage just for practice, because its a hassle to be setting up my professional stuff all the time. They work just fine and i would probably recommend these for someone that's just starting out. I've seen alot of mediocre to negative reviews on these 500's ,but you got to remember that their very inexpensive, and won't perform like the expensive equipment that's out there. Be sure to use quality usb flash drives. I had trouble with some cheap ones that I had laying around.

We teach ballet and needed a new CD player. This was recommended, and it is perfect! Excellent is the wave form that allows us to see sections of the music. We are use to this because we edit music on the computer. We need to vary tempo, and this allows that exceptionally well... without changing pitch. And the ability to play off a flash drive is fantastic... we can have a backup ready of CDs. A class of music from several CDs is easy to prepare. And All those old CDs that are rarely used but sometimes needed are all on a single flash drive to call up when needed. A superior player for our uses. Oh, and the Hot Cues that let us jump to set places in the music are great!

I recently purchased this product and am impressed with its look and feel and price point however I am experiencing a crackling noise that come through intermittently.- I have tried the same mp3 files played through my laptop and that sounds great- I have also tried the MDJ900 on another set of speakers and continued to hear the crackling some times- I tried changing one of the soundcard settings as wellI hope that someone from Gemini can assist me and if resolved this would be a 5 Star purchase.Thank you!

I previously owned Gemini MDJ500's and though they are glitchy from time to time, I found them to be a decent set of Media Player for the 6+ years I used them.I recently decided to purchase Gemini MDJ 900's and I'm very satisfied with the players.They have several functions the 500's don't have.You can't go wrong with the price of these 900's compared to the insane prices for other media players. I'm no club DJ, I use them to play and record music at home, but I feel these 900's can do just as well as the high end players in a gig setting.I purchased the 900's because of my experience with the 500's.

Item was advertised as good when it obviously didn’t work and the seller knew it. When I powered it up, it would not switch from the USB mode to play CD or Midi. But that’s not the worst part, it doesn’t play MP3s from the USB. The computer keeps blinking to read it and won’t play more than 2 seconds before shutting down and restarting. As I said, seller knew this item didn’t work and Amazon tried to sell it anyway-shameful!
