Reason for purchase: I usually need to write a lot of notes at work on very small sheets of paper, so I've been looking for a pen that can write with a very fine point, that doesn't smear, that doesn't bleed through, and that I can use as a left-handed writer. Packaging and initial inspection: no issues with the packaging. The pens arrived in good condition. All three were writing well. Quality: I have been using these pens for over 6 weeks now, and these are the best pens that I have ever used. I initially was made aware of these pens after reading a very thorough review on The Wirecutter, so I won't go too far in-depth here. But I do want to comment on is the difference between the 0.3mm and 0.5mm. What I noticed was that as a left-handed writer, the 0.3 would skip a lot while writing, so I would have to frequently return and rewrite what I was writing. My wife noticed the same as a right-handed writer, although far less frequently. While I prefer the precision with which I can write with the 0.3 pen, the fluidity and precision with the 0.5 was the best for me. I have not had any issues with bleed through, with smearing even though I write left-handed, or with hand fatigue. Conclusion: after using numerous ballpoint pens and pilot pens of various sizes and types, I have found the jet stream to be the best pen I have ever used. Although they're slightly pricey when not on sale ($2 each), I highly recommend this pen if you have to write a lot of words in a very small amount of space!

As a left handed person, these pens saved my skin, papers, and dignity. They dry quickly, don’t smudge, and they are so easy to hold. New favorite pens and I will buy more. OH YEAH THEY DON’T SKIP!!

I have always preferred the Uni Jetstream for their superb hybrid ink. This is the first time I have tried the .5mm and I am hooked! I am, however, a fan of the all rubberized pen and these are a tad bit harder to hold thus being a little less comfortable. Still, I love the pen. Highly recommend for anyone who prefers a ballpoint pen in a .5mm line.

If you enjoy writing in small print rather than in big print like I do,then these are the pens for you. Due to the extra fine point, jotting down notes and for writing in small spaces are a breeze. And they also make the job enjoyable. They are very smooth on the paper and it just feels good to write with these pens.

The black and red pens write perfectly, and I have no complaints. The blue pen, on the other hand, does not write well at all. Initially, it worked just fine, but after a day of use the ink seemed to dry up and would not come out consistently. If the blue pen would have worked like the other two I would absolutely recommend these pens to anyone who likes to write small, but alas it seems to be a crap shot as to if you will get a set of 3 pens that all function correctly.

These pens, by far, are the best pens I've ever used. I purchased a bunch of different colors while I was in Tokyo and the green and purple ones didn't write as well as this trio does. Everyone in my pharmacy (where I work) uses these pens now. The lines these pens create are clean, smooth, and thin.

These are the smoothest pens I've ever used. I purchased some years ago and this is the first time I've seen them on Amazon since. Or maybe I wasn't looking hard enough, I don't know. I gave one (the black one) to my 7 year old daughter and it's the only pen she uses now. Writing, drawing, you name it. She loves this pen just as much as I do.

Absolutely LOVE these pens! My friend had introduced me to these pens saying that it was very popular back home in Korea, and I had to try it. The ink is smooth, and the grip is comfortable. Good for those who write in cursive and for those who don’t! Would definitely recommend everyone to try this product!
